Pitchford: Gearbox is working on the game you want them to be working on XD

It’s no secret that a new Borderlands is in development, with Pitchford previously saying work would begin on it after Battleborn was completed.
Publisher Take-Two will be keen to get the worst-kept secret announced, as previous Borderlands games have been huge sellers for the company.

I appreciate them wanting to branch out and do other things, but there should be 1 team working on the current and 1 team working on the next Borderlands at all times.
I just started another playthrough of BL2 after getting done with UVHM on the Pre Sequel.
I need to see more vaults. I also need them to come up with another villain as good as Handsome Jack and let us loose in the Borderlands Universe again.

I don't want them to water down the franchise by rushing out a sequel every year. I can just play COD for that. Borderlands is a different experience. I don't mind a few years between sequels.
