All Complete/full editions, for a total of $55. Haven't played an AC in forever and I guess I was feeling a bit nostalgic. Started Origins last night and so far so good... guess I'm committed to AC for awhile now.

That’s gonna take forever lol

Only played AC Valhalla and it’s an absolute time suck. It’s long as shite with a million side quests. I enjoyed it but never finished

On the positive side, that is a LOT of content for $55. On the downside it is Ubisoft content.

Which means lots and lots of repetitive content. Sometimes too much side content and not enough story.

Thankfully I am starting to knock a bit of my backlog out. Just beat Detroit Become Human last night, and I'm in the last 1-2 hours of Black Mesa (started after I got about 4 hours through HL2, but way after beating HL1 original).

That just means I need to go through all the HL2s now.

Still need to beat Ghost of Tsushima as well.. I'm about to storm Castle Shimura.

Origins: Not a great game IMO Story was decent but felt like the whole combat system and open world was a bit shaky.

Odyssey and Valhalla- top 5 best AC games and that's saying something.

I personally like Valhalla over Odyssey just because there is less sailing and England is more intriguing than Greece for me.

Origins: better protagonist but more of a shallow game when compared to the other 2

Odyssey: really fleshed out RPG, gorgeous world, way more engaging combat than Origins

Valhalla: cannot stand the male version of Eivor, female is more tolerable, and even though the movement is a lot slower and you can get lost in all the content, it's such a beautiful world that's awesome to explore, I really like the mini story chapters for each region as you try to gain alliances

Damn, I'm liking Origins. This hypes me up to finish and start Odyssey.

Origins is a great game, don't get me wrong. I've played through it at least 3 times. DLC is really good too. I shouldn't have used the word "shallow", that's a disservice to it. But Odyssey and Valhalla are full on RPG's, dialogue options that affect the game, more systems (the sailing in Odyssey is actually pretty fun IMO).

Origins is a straight up action AC game with good stealth mechanics (I maintain the only reason the earlier AC games were considered stealth is because the actual combat was pure garbage that no one wanted to do).

I love them all for different reasons. Bayek is the best, up there with Ezio as my favorite AC protagonist.

Same, it's fun but I was at like 80 hours and still not even halfway done.

My favorite of those 3 is Odyssey. It's the only AC game I'm platinumed.

Loved Oddysey. They were creative enough with the skill tree to keep combat entertaining throughout

Loved the Egyptian setting with the pyramids and the mystique around exploring the tombs.

I actually liked Valhalla a lot. It's not good as an AC title specifically but in terms of the "turn mind off and grind a lot of areas for moderate fun in the Ubisoft open world formula", it's great. Killed a ton of podcasts playing it

AC Odyssey was a big beautiful game but I went deep into side quests and extra content and there were still some islands I never set foot on.

AC Valhalla was amazing for awhile but I am unfortunately a completionist so burned out trying to do it all and never finished.

AC Origins people have said is pretty good

They games are too damn big and bloated with meaningless shite now.

I won't buy them any more because I know I will get bored and never finish them

I think Mirage went back to a more traditional formula and is only around 24 hours to beat. But I actually wanted the ones I got for the very reason that they're huge and broke away from the older formula, even though I haven't touched an AC really seriously since III - delved in Black Flag but I returned the One after around a week of owning one when it was new.

Loved Valhalla for the narrative. Especially once you get to “trip”.

Outside of the overarching AC story, it’s not really a traditional AC game.

I did enjoy the side quests. Took me forever to fully complete the game (didn’t platinum but finished all missions)
