Scam?

It's a 100% legit industry, bro.

I think I need my own reality show though because it is never dull.

Broke into a house the other day that the bank told us was vacant and it even looked vacant only to find a large black man sleeping naked in his bed.

I know it's legit. It's just too good to be true as a gamer from what I've seen. I call the Post 9/11 a scam too. I get paid to go to school for 8 days out of the month.

I only post the gaming stuff here. Truthfully is that I find a lot more than just that. Better stuff too.

I actually have a table in a consignment flea market full of stuff, I use a local consignment place for bigger stuff like mowers and tools, I ebay a lot of stuff, and recently started taking furniture and stuff to auctions.

I give my guys bonuses for setting stuff aside we can sell.

It's like a second business for me.

Hey, how do you update a mobo BIOS via usb? From what I'm reading there's a good chance the ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 won't come updated to run the 8320 and it will be need to be flashed.

Is it similar to updating anything else? Create a folder on USB named "Update" or something similar and boot into the BIOS and it will have an update via USB option or?

Nevermind finally found a working guide, sounds like a pain in the arse hopefully it's updated.

Every brand is different but just DL the BIOS and unzip to a flash drive. Next go into the BIOS and find the section that says BIOS Update or something like that.

Read your manual and if you need an older AM3+ chip to update the BIOS for the 8 core FX series, let me know, I can send one over for free.

Wait, I just realized you bought the 990X version instead of the 990FX version. What did you pay for the 990X version?

Either way, I can't imagine the board would need a bios flash at this point. Even most of the 970 boards sold today will run an 8320/50 out of the box.

Second That. You're right, but you never know.

I've ran 8320s on 970 chipsets but you would be surprised. Had to buy a SB 3820 to flash new bios for my Ivy-E 4930K even though the board FCKKING MARKETED for the new Ivy-E CPUs. Also had to do the same thing to an APU build that was FM2+ A88X and made for Kaveri but needed a Richland to update BIOS.

That happened to me once with an MSI board, using Z68 and Ivy. But I still <3 MSI.

Yeah I don't think it will, but there is a chance.

I wrote a question on the product page and a guy replied that just got it his 8350 worked with it right out of the box so I should be fine.

Went ahead and downloaded the latest BIOS and threw it on my flash drive just in case.

Oh yeah I have another question before I build it Saturday, taking the 180GB SSD out of laptop to put in it will this just be plug n play? I should just have to format it right then it will go right into my case? I already have a Windows 7 bootable jump drive ready, install that to the SSD and I should be up and running right? How do I go about knowing/finding what drivers I need to update/install is there a program for that or do I just run Windows Update and then flash latest BIOS and install latest AMD Catalyst?

No, not at all. You need to wipe the SSD and do a clean install of all drivers and the operating system for the new computer.

IlikeLSU, Bluebarracuda, the rest of you computer building wizards...

I need a PC for my brothers start up church. They are wanting to project slideshows on a 70" TV. I was looking at this ebay store. Would the HD5450 card be capable of handling a 70" TV along with a standard PC monitor?

here is the link to the ebay store..

The "gaming" pc's have dedicated graphics cards, basically 1gb 5450's.

Or do you have any others suggestions for a pc that can handle these basic functions for around this price range. I do not think I can build a pc for cheaper that these refurb'd dells.

Correct. It connects just like a traditional hard drive. SATA cable and SATA power. However, one thing you will probably need to do in your bios before you install Windows is to put your drives in AHCI mode. Your motherboard manual should show you where that is. If you have trouble, I'll tell you what to do.

If you want to be ahead of the game, get a flash drive and download the drivers from the web site:

LINK

AMD Chipset Driver V8.973 (8.0.877.0) for Windows XP/Vista/7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

Realtek Audio Driver V6.6.4.2 for Windows Vista/7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

Realtek RTL8111E LAN Driver V7.48.823.2011 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

Asmedia USB3.0 Controller Driver V1.14.1.0 for Windows XP/Vista/7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

Those are the main ones. Obviously, your motherboard will come with a CD of these drivers and more, but they may not be the most up to date.

I wouldn't flash the latest bios unless you're having problems related to the motherboard.

Here's a link to the latest AMD drivers: LINK

performance-wise, it will be fine. You need to find out what the outputs are on the graphics card. Not every video card of the same model is the same. Some with have dual DVI, others with VGA, DVI, and displayport, and other with VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc. Whatever you buy, you may find that you need adapters to get it to work with the TV, assuming the TV doesn't natively support DVI. The description only mentions the integrated VGA port, but not the outputs on the video card itself.
