Why can't I find BF3 on the Steam website?

It's on Origin, which is EA's shitty version of Steam.

Because it's an EA game so it's on Origin

Everything is all packed up to send off tomorrow, one question though. The UPC is on the actual Powercolor 7970 box right? Not the box newegg shipped it in? I've never had to RMA before so I'm unsure.

Alrighty then, looks like we're all good. Glad I kept all these shipping boxes in the closet for the time being.

Has anyone seen any benchmarks for the 760/770 cards with 4gb of memory? All these review sights were quick to put out reviews for the 2gb cards but I haven't seen anything about the 4gb cards.

Probably be the exact same (as the 2gb model), or close to it. The vram doesn't increase performance unless it needs it, which very few games use more than 2gb at 1440p and lower

That may be an interesting benchmark to see when next gen games come out and have access to more ram.

Which one of these boards would you guys go with?

LINK

I have the Extreme9 but it's on the way to ASRock because one of the PCI slots was giving me trouble. I think it's from testing out some of these cards I get in so I am using a spare 990 board I had. Just wondering when it gets back if it still looks like the best AM3+ board out there. IMO it has the best specs but I may be biased so I want other opinions. If I am going to have to redo Windows and everything again when it comes back then I might as well upgrade then if need be.

Can you download the 3dmark 11 demo off steam and run it? I want to see how that 6350 does compared to my 955

I think you can get more out of that 955 than the 6350 but I may be wrong. They just OC so well. At stock the 6350 will have you beat.

I feel like I'm at work with all these numbers and acronyms. The bad thing is I don't understand this.

I know you like Gigabyte and I that UD7 has some nice specs but GD they are some ugly boards. Of course that Extreme9 isn't going to win any beauty contests either but I think it may be the best OC'ing board out there for AM3+ and I feel it's about time to push my 8350.

Still seems to me that the Extreme9 is the right choice out of those. The Crosshair looks to have a PLX chip for the PCI-E lanes, but how many video cards are you planning to use?

Actually, what do you need out of the extreme9 that the extreme4 doesn't offer? Trying to find out what the power phase count is for the extreme4...

ETA: Ah, 8+2 vs 12+2. So my vote is for the extreme9.

This is why. I figured the 9 was still the best choice. Oh well...no new mobo for me :(
