Is that a temp spike on HWinfo or does that stay consistent?

If the latter...

It stayed between 90-100C. I'm going to run some more benches to test the thermals

Wouldn't shock me if I fricked the mounting up on this peerless assassin since it's been ages since I last installed a big non-AIO cooler

My 7700x can hit spikes of 90c in certain scenarios. Although, it's always after patches. Not sure WTF is happening with those. Any other time, it's a quick spike to like 70 and down to mid 50's.

Not sure about Intel, but that seems very excessive. Even with that cpu.

My current monitor is from last year and 3440x1440. It’s an ultra wide curved monitor. I have never had the ability to do 4k gaming. I am interested in getting that crisp 4k look if possible though.

Understood on the windows comment.

Appreciate the help.

You could save $600 getting a 7900 XTX instead of a 4090 unless you really care about ray tracing.

DLSS is also significantly better than FSR, though that’s obviously quite the premium to pay for it.

I’m still holding out hope that Nvidia releases a full fat 102 die 4080ti.

I get home to my delivered case....and it's the black one not the white one I ordered. Contact BestBuy and they've got the white one on the way.

No credit, discount, expedited shipping nothing.

Would have just kept it but ordered 3 white fans as well as a white AIO.

If you were making a purchase for something you didn’t plan on upgrading for a while would you spend the $600?

You’re having a rough go of it as of late.

Bought a samsung 980 pro 2TB ssd today. First time installing one in those tiny slots. Happy to have ample space for 200 gb of dayz mods now.

As long as you have the windows key, when you do your initial setup, it shouldn’t be an issue.

Now, no way of knowing whether AMD is talking about new 7800-esque cards or are envisioning something to try to lift the ceiling off of the 7900xtx and compete with the 4090, but something to look out for in the next few months, regardless.

AMD won't try to match the 4090 - it financially doesn't make sense for them.

It doesn't make any financial sense for them to do much of anything. Much like Nvidia.

The consumer GPU market is tertiary. Behind AI and enterprise.

That's not including their lucrative CPU market ATM. The consumer GPU market is 4th for them. TSMC is gonna have to increase production way more than they possibly can.

Are these bent/broken pins on my new mobo or is am5 supposed to be like this?

I haven't worked with any new AM5 stuff, but I'd say its probably not supposed to be like that.

I wouldn't think so. More delays for a new mobo!

New mobo will be here Saturday, so not too bad at least.
