It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I very much enjoyed it. If anyone hasn't played it, they should give it a shot.

Well, if I’m being more honest, “put me in the poorhouse” is more aptly described as “dealing with my wife giving me substantial side eye”

Decided I was just going to rackmount my spare PC and make it my in home streaming PC. Keeps me from having to buy anymore spare parts I guess. Will be cool once I have it setup for cloud gaming tho

As expected, V Cache brings the pain. I'm waiting for November. I wonder if Intel was like don't post the high end chips from amd we get creamed.

Unfortunately for Intel those e cores are useless for 90% outside cinebench. Do your homework kids. Friends don't let friends buy e cores.

AMD Zen 4 V-Cache: 30% faster than Zen 4 CPUs without V-Cache

I did a mini-itx build and love it. The hardest part was getting the video card I wanted that would fit in the case.

Saw that this morning, and interesting that they are skipping the 7800x for now, assuming this leak is legit. Makes me think they might just skip the 7800x completely and only release a 7800x3D once they are comfortable with production yields.

5.7GHz boost clock and apparently it'll hit 5.85GHz single core stock. Pretty wild. 5.3Ghz all core is the rumor.

After the 30% gains leak from 3D v cache though I'm waiting for the 7800X3D. Too much pure gaming performance to pass up.

Sounds like it is Q1 23 now whereas original leaks said before end of year.

Asking for a little help for a project I'm working on. I'm building a digital tabletop for a role-playing game. I have a cheap 4k TV that I want to play 4k video on from a laptop. This is not for gaming in 4k in case you are not familiar with what I'm doing. I won't be streaming to the TV either. It would be a hardwired connection from the laptop to the TV. Anyway, my question: what is your recommendation for the lowest cost laptop that could play 4k video on the 50 inch 4k TV? Any help would be appreciated! I'm near all big box stores and a Microcenter and could also order online.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

I can hook you up with a cheap HP prodesk 600 mini PC. Got an 8th gen i5 that'll have plenty enough power to push 4k. Probably sell it to you for like $150

Judging by the responses, it doesn't take a dedicated gpu to play 4k videos? Also, looking to buy new, but thanks!

I’m looking forward to Nvidia’s announcement tomorrow, and hopefully AMD follows shortly behind.

RTX 4090 is $1600
RTX 4080 16GB $1200
RTX 4080 12GB $900

Wow, talk abut continuing to move the market in a hilarious direction, especially that 4080 now being in 2 tiers and a $300 difference in price (why not call the 16GB version the 4080Ti)? RTX 3080 was $700 at launch...
