Guess you could always fork over $1799 for the new Porsche Design monitor. Drops 6/15. 32" 4K 144Hz 1152 zone Mini LED with HDR1400 and peak 2K nit brightness.

Thats what I got. I like it so far. I’ll have to upgrade the resolution one day but I’m good with what I have for now.

PC Part Picker

Can you guys give me opinions on this build? Will be building my first PC soon and I set my budget right around 1k. I have zero experience building, so this is a build I put together after researching and watching YouTube videos a couple hours today. Am I missing anything, besides the Monitor which I’ll buy later.

Yes, yes I am, I don’t know any other ways to get Windows like y’all shot callers in here.

Also I have had a MSI laptop for 4 years that works flawlessly on my Cox Gigablast wifi. Only option is wifi in my house.

You create free installation media from Microsoft's website and then either use a code you already have (you'd be surprised) or buy a grey market code for like $20.

But anywho, post a thread with your usage case (production, gaming? If gaming, what do you play, at what settings and resolution? etc) and we can talk it out. It can also be an easy reference for you if you have build questions along the way.

ETA: There is no perfect build short of spending like $2,500. Everything below that makes compromises somewhere. So we need to know where to make those compromises, and where to spend the money.

Went and took your parts list and tweaked a few things...

- Left the GPU and CPU as is for now because of your $1k budget.
- Removed WiFi card, and upgraded your motherboard which includes WiFi
- Removed CPU cooler - for a 12400F, the stock CPU cooler from Intel will suffice.
- Removed Windows - you can get a genuine copy here LINK (or other places.... this link is "legal")
- Replaced your memory with DDR4-3200 CL14 Memory - I believe this is Samsung B-Die. Very fast memory.
- Replaced your PSU with EVGA 80+ Gold unit at 750W.
- Replaced your NVME SSD with a higher quality 1 TB version from SK Hynix. One of the best PCIe Gen3 SSDs out there.

Overall, my changes save you roughly ~$90 - obviously Windows is not included, but you still save money after buying windows.

Or just use the MS supplied ISO and never activate it. That's what I've been doing for the past 10 years

I built this current PC about two years ago; I activated Windows with a Windows 7 key I pulled off a faded sticker on the bottom of a laptop I bought in like 2010

My desktop randomly decided to shite the bed the other day. Closed out of a game and everything is fine. Walk my dog, come back and have “hdmi 1 no signal”

It isn’t the HDMI cord nor the monitor because the feed goes through when I hook it up to my ps5.

What the frick did I do and how do I unfrick it

I just wanna kick the Muslims out of Spain in the new ck3 dlc
