Only the top card 7900XT is launching before end of year and it's expected to be $2,000.

Yeah, I have no issue with that buy at that price. Plenty of time to chase the dragon later this year

You'll be just fine. You likely won't be able to play the heaviest ones fully maxed out at ultra and get 140hz+, but you can likely still play those at High at 100hz+. Enjoy

P.S. Make sure you look into and set the overdrive setting for your monitor, if you have one. Common rookie mistake akin to not setting xmp on your RAM

Thanks for the advice

Unfortunately the monitor arrived damaged. There is a big curved scratch on the panel at the bottom of the screen, which ticks me off because as far as I can tell, there are no dead pixels on this monitor

You can notice the scratch when the monitor is on, but especially when the monitor is off.

I'm gonna have to repack this, and ship this back to Dell for a new replacement.

What a PITA

EDIT: And there are dead pixels around the scratch. Couldn't see them at first, but now I see them. GD

I have never been more grateful whenever my monitor arrived from a zero rated eBay seller in perfect shape

Y'all frick around too much re: your monitors. I'm super paranoid about them, and pretty much only go through fully legit merchants

At the time I bought my monitor, it wasn't even in stock at a legit merchant

One thing I'll say about Dell - top notch customer support.

Just called them, and they didn't give me any trouble at all - they are shipping a brand new replacement out to me by air, with the monitor going to be shipped in its box within a shipping box to help ensure that the box isn't damaged in shipping (we'll see... but I've never heard of a manufacturer agreeing to do that lol).

They told me I should get the brand new one tomorrow, and provided me a shipping label to return the old one, without cost.

Can't complain at all about that.

Daaamn. Can't wait to play it again as a new experience on PC. That graphical upgrade is nutty, Tess looks real.

Yeesh @ that sag...

Ok, is there some really weird, significant segmentation between 6900xt? The comparative results line (the little box on the left) has some bizarre jagged peaks that I've never really noticed on any other cards.
