I’ve been enjoying my 32” dell 1440p. It’s curved and I have made the games hud larger so I don’t have to look around so much. 120 FOV also helps with it.

I probably would like the 27” a tad more for pure FPS gaming but I love the screen for non gaming. It also helps my old eyes seeing bigger targets.

And that GD roze skin in warzone, this monitor has made it so much easier

Just saw Microcenter advertising the price of a 11900k today for $613.99

Intel has gone completely off the deep end.

11600k is $269.99 and 11700k is $399.99...who the heck would spend $214 more for a 11900k over a 11700k, its the exact same processor with slightly higher clocks.

The best value is the 11600KF for $240, and the 11400F for $170.

Intel actually has a lot of value in the Core i5 series and lower.

But the Core I7 and I9 series are absolutely useless.

If you're buying an I7 or I9, just go with a 10th gen 10850KF or a 10900KF, which can both be had right now for under $400 in certain places.

Like why would you pay $400+ for an 11700K or $600+ for an 11900K with TWO LESS CORES? It makes zero sense.

Is it possible an older 1440p monitor just won't work with windows 10? It's a korean QNIX so I doubt there's special drivers out there. On my old PC, it's just using generic Windows 7 drivers.

Was trying to set up my old monitor as a 2nd monitor on new PC, but nothing is working.

Old monitor is DVI-D dual link, and still works fine on my old PC (Windows 7).

New PC doesn't have DVI-D so I have tried the following (neither worked):
DVI-D to display port adapter
DVI-D to HDMI adapter
DVI-D to HDMI cable

I've also tried it on a 3rd PC, also has Windows 10 installed (again, none of these options worked)
DVI-D to display port adapter to integrated display port
DVI-D to display port adapter to GPU
DVI-D to HDMI adapter to GPU
DVI-D to HDMI cable to GPU
*Note, I tried my new monitor which uses display port and confirmed that it works on both the integrated and GPU display ports on PC #3

Video drivers are up to date on my new PC and PC#3.

Any ideas?

It is too early to deal with your question, but I might circle back to it.

However, didn't realize how insane GPU pricing became over the last 2months.

My old TITAN X Pascal I save for a backup is selling on eBay for almost 800bucks. I might even consider selling my 3080, since I barely game. I've been wanting a 3090 anyway, just never went after one.

Hope everyone is doing well.

UH, you still using a Vali 2?

I just purchased a Magni 3+, think I'm tired of the "softer" tube app sound of my Vali. I've been playing a lot of DOOM and the game sounds better if I use my bluetooth headphones over the Vali/DT990s.
