I'm actually looking at selling off my 3 cards to try to get a 3090 I could likely sell my 3070, 2080 and 2070S to cover the cost

Shoot, I’d keep mining. Just because ETH is probably gonna drop in profitability doesn’t mean mining won’t be profitable elsewhere. My current setup makes $16 a day with Ravencoin if I were mining it ($30 on ETH). I can only imagine the algorithm improving it it turns out to be the next coin.

3080s/3090s VRAM like to run hot, but there’s been success with repaste and repadding.

There's less than a $2 difference in profits between those 3 cards and a single 3090. I'd much rather those gains in FPS when I plan on gaming over the measly $1.75

He just wanted a card immediately instead of paying $1500+ on eBay and having to wait.

Lol I fricked over a few people with 3080s back in January, wish I would have kept them now. I got a 3090 and 2 3080s going at Eth full time though. I sold 2 other 3080s for 1400 in December and a 3090 to a friend at full cost. I passed on so many 3090s before Christmas, kinda disappointed I didn’t pick a few of them up now. shite has gotten crazy.

I mean, not really... they're going for 1700$ from randos. Might as well save 200$ and know its good.

The leaker had already revealed that AMD Ryzen processors codenamed “Raphael” will land on an AM5 socket, which surprisingly will be an LGA design. This means that the pins on the Zen4 desktop processors will be replaced with pads, essentially copying Ryzen Threadripper and Intel desktop processors approach. Motherboard vendors that we spoke with are enthusiastic about this change for various reasons.

Today ExecuFix has revealed the futuristic CPU design for the Raphael. The integrated heat spreader (IHS) will not have a uniform shape, on the contrary, each side will have two cutouts. However, it is unclear why has AMD changed the IHS design this much.

Dang, AMD has done nvidia a favor and implemented FSR into 10 series and newer graphics cards.

AMD is largely open source. This is going to be huge for consoles and obviously PC's too.

quote:

Developers are responsible for implementing the FSR code in their games, and they have full ownership over the final product. Basically, AMD doesn’t need to partner with game developers to get FSR in games.

FSR offers four quality modes: Ultra, Quality, Balanced, and Performance. Ultra quality can boost frame rates 50% or more while retaining as much detail as possible. Further down, each performance mode offers a higher frame rate at the cost of image quality.
