I’ve been running a Ryzen 3600 for 3 months now, I’m honestly considering jumping for a 5600x

I would since you can just pop it in and be done. Sell your old one and come out damn near even for a fairly large upgrade.

AMD has an answer to DLSS, DirectML Super Resolution
quote:
In a recent disclosure regarding their Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S system, Microsoft confirmed that both of their next-generation consoles would support Machine learning for games with DirectML. Through their collaboration with AMD when creating their new consoles, AMD has a chance to replace DLSS with an alternative which will apply to gamers on both PC and Xbox, giving developers little reason to support DLSS over DirectML Super Resolution.
Through close collaboration and partnership between Xbox and AMD, not only have we delivered on this promise, we have gone even further introducing additional next-generation innovation such as hardware accelerated Machine Learning capabilities for better NPC intelligence, more lifelike animation, and improved visual quality via techniques such as ML powered super resolution.

UH, I just ordered a 77" CX. Blew the rest of my Chase points for a $1000 amazon gift card and pulled the trigger (get 5% back with my prime rewards visa too). Came out to $2800 total

Nice! Congrats. Worth.
I've been tempted to say screw it and go for the 48" version as a second PC monitor + console. Keep holding out for a black friday discount.

yeah thats what I'm thinking as well. Still have my GN950 sealed in box, and both my 3080 and 3090 came in today. Going to test it tonight, have 2 weeks to return it if I decide to get a 48"

Any idea when you can buy the new ryzen cpus? Any specific time or anything? I had planned to just upgrade my gpu now, and cpu later down the road, but the way things have been going, it may be months before I'll be able to get one.

You can buy them tomorrow

Man, really was thinking about springing for the 49” ultrawide monitor but those things are expensive as frick. Think I’m just going to get 1440p, ~27”, 144+ and use my 10-yr old LG to side by side.

5950x destroying the 10900k at 1080p in Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider is not something I expected...

i was pretty dead set on a 5950X, but after looking at a bunch of gaming benchmarks, it doesn't seem like it's worth the upgrade when playing at 4K
lower resolutions, it's worth it

I got a 5800x off Amazon, struck out on the 5900x

Nice, I'm going to upgrade after the first of the year. I want the new PCIE 4.0 goodies as much as the big performance gains.
LOL at the 5600X pasting the 10900K in gaming. Rip Intel. Review sites are not taking it easy on Intel either.
Reddit posts showing 100+ people in lines at microcenters. What a time for AMD.
