Nah, Nvidia claiming 2x performance over RTX 20 series was... marketing. Still a hell of a performance bump for the price.

My OG pixel XL just randomly died at some point Thursday night/Friday morning, no idea wtf happened to it.

So Friday afternoon I went to Wally world and bought one of the cheaper phones I could find to hold me over while I look to order a nicer and got the Moto G7 play for $70.

I'm very impressed with the amount of phone that you get for $70. I may not even get the 4a anymore

The most I've spent on a phone was $399 on an unlocked iPhone 8 after gift cards.

I absolutely refuse to spend $500-1.5k on a damn phone

In the sense of Nvidia waaayyyyyy overhyping it vs. actual performance, yes. Also in the sense of the forced scarcity and early release knowing they could never meet demand right now - yes.

In terms of actual performance and price/performance vs. Turing - no. It's a great card and huge step forward.

If Nvidia just didn't do the dumb stuff like the forced scarcity and ridiculous performance claims it would probably be one of their best launches in a long time.

30-ish % better performance (than 2080ti) at 4k, while bringing the price down 40-50% from real world 2080ti pricing is a big time success on that surface.

Big Navi VRAM specs leak: 16GB Navi 21 and 12GB Navi 22 go head to head with GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090

AMD's Big Navi GPUs allegedly feature 12GB and 16GB of VRAM respectively

Following a separate revelation about AMD's RX 6900XT potentially beating the GeForce RTX 3090 in gaming workloads, tipster @_rogame revealed what appear to be VRAM specs for two Big Navi GPUs.

TSMC advantage boys.

Yeah, overhyping is standard. But when you combine that with lying about the 3090 being a gaming card and one of the worst launches ever, it's a bad look.

That Samsung chip is doodoo and Nvidia really did what they could with it. Better be water cooling though, those temps are crazy high for the space heaters. I remember when AMD always had the space heaters.

Should. It's not a first Gen architecture. Should see large improvements like Ryzen 1 to 2.

I am loving the Fold 2. But for $2000 it's hard to recommend. Yes they have good deals and a buy pack program for 1K that helps but you'd really need to be a power user that really really wants a big beautiful tablet on the inside.

Thing has taken me days to get used to its so different. Most beautiful screen I've seen to date though and we know Sammy makes the best. It is glorious.

can any of you guys tell me why my headphones have this screeching white noise coming through my headphones? it doesn't play any audio other this this.

if i route the audio to my monitors, the audio is fine, but currently, neither headphone jack on the front of the case or the mobo on the back is working. just a loud screeching noise.

eta: i should add that i removed the gpu to take pictures of it for reddit and facebook. reinstalled it and this happened.

eta: i can disable the headphones and it still plays this screeching sound.

Check in your bios audio settings and disable everything? Or enable if disabled. Should see settings for your front panel audio.

Uninstall and reinstall your audio drivers as well.

Yeah did all that. Nothing changed. What if I reset my mobo back to default? Will I have to reinstall the new bios for the CPU to work?

This was always overblown to me. I have a 5700Xt and never once had any issues, hardware unboxed also never encountered any problems with their navi units.

I know some channels out there who did have some issues in some games, but it just seems to be way overblown. Not that they are as good as nvidia's but again seem to be more people out there without any issues with drivers than did have issues with the drivers.

Very excited the big navi units will come with adequate VRAM. 10GB just wont be enough for 4k on the 3080 which is why 20GB cards are already SKU'd up in the near future - not sure if those are 3080Ti's or just 20GB versions of the 3080 but 12-16GB VRAM seems much more usable for 4K gaming down the road than 10GB.

Feels so weird to say 10GB isn't enough when just over a year and a half ago I was still on a 3GB 7950

Yeah I've never had any issues with mine either. Space Invaders was equally prominent for Turing as drivers for Navi.

And you know damn well Ampere will be worse with the 500+ watts and heat limits within 1 degree of max for most cards. Water cool or go home.

Probably. 6800 will make it pretty obsolete at the same msrp.

I'll be selling mine when big Navi gets closer but keeping the custom cooler.
