Anyone catch the pricing leaks for RTX 3xxx?

3060 - $400
3070 - $600
3080 - $800
3090 - $1400

Some rumors the Titan card will be dropped and that's basically the new 3090 at a much "reduced price" from previous Titan.

That 3080 better be at least as good a 2080Ti.

They pushed they 3070 up another $100 to $600 from $500 for 2070/2070 super. they also pushed up the 3080 another $100 from $700 on 2080/2080 Super to $800 on new card. Nvidia is ridiculous. Better be FE card pricing and AIBs will be $100 cheaper.

This is why I just went ahead and got a FOunders Edition 2070 Super. For $385 after tax, I couldn’t pass that up.

Why? 5700XT is a hell of a card and will last you a while. Probably would've gotten one myself had I not got the Zaber Sentry case (which basically can't fit any aftermarket 5700XTs) and had I not seen the deal on the 2070 Super.

i've had 2 AMD cards now and i kinda want to try out an nvidia card. i was thinking of a 2060 super or 2070.

I'm hoping those FE card prices and for the 3070/80/90 AIB cards will be $100 cheaper and the 3060 $50 cheaper at least. That's how the last round of RTX cards went. We may not see a 3060 though till next year if it's anything like last release.

Taking a gues on performance but I imagine
3060 = 2070 super levels
3070 = 2080 super levels
3080 = 2080 Ti level
3090 = 30% faster than 3080/2080Ti?

Blocks

Put blocks on everything, never worry about waiting for dumb AIB cards.

Can someone give me some help on a couple of PC questions. I am starting a new build soon and wanted to make sure on some stuff. I havent built one in 5 years lol

1. Is LGA 1200 going to be the dominant MOBO for a while? I bought a LGA 1150 at the end of the life cycle for my last build which made replacing a dying CPU pretty tough

2. Is there any chance that the Rocket lake CPUs are significantly better than the Comet lake? If so I'm gonna just wait but I'm not really sure how this stuff normally goes.

Intel usually has their chipsets support 2 generations of CPU. AMD's AM4 socket will support 4 generations of CPUs with the release of their 4XXX/5XXX series. I'd expect AMD to potentially go to a new socket with their 6XXX or 7XXX series after this year.

What do you want to get out of your build? Do you want the ability to upgrade for your CPU down the road?

Rocket Lake will supposedly have native PCIe 4.0 capability and the current Z490 series motherboards are capable of supporting PCIe 4.0. But other than that, it will still be built on the same 14 nm fabrication process, although the architecture is rumored to be slightly different.

Graphics cards aren't close to maxing out PCIe 3.0 capability right now, so unless you really need PCIe 4.0 for NVME storage, if you need a build right now, just go for it. Caveot obviously... if you want to play 8k Flight Simulator with everything maxed

The 10600k is pretty much the best gaming CPU on the market if gaming is all you're doing.

Anyone that needs an SSD: LINK

Excellent deal on an SK Hynix S31 Gold 1 TB Sata SSD, if you need one now. Both DDR4 and SSD prices are gonna drop down in Q4 this year.

This drive trades blows with the 860 EVO and also is very competitive against the MX500.

I know you would enjoy a little project like this.

I have been using an HP mini desktop for some time now as my "network utilities" server, but I'm probably going to move all of that stuff to my actual server, which leaves me with this little PC to have fun with.

It has a M.2 PCIe x4 slot on it, so I'm thinking about adapting a low profile 1050ti into it.

The issues I know I'm going to face:
1) Power. It comes with only a 65w power supply, but I know I can get 120w and 230w power supplies for it. I'm wondering if I can just slap one of those in there if it would work?
2) Space. I'm definitely going to have to mod the little case to get the cooler to fit properly, even after removing the 2.5" slot. I think just cutting out a hole with a dremel for the cooler will work fine. I will also have to modify for access to the video card i/o

Here is the PC (it's roughly 7x7x1.5):

The 1050ti I want to use (I'm going to remove the bracket):

I'm planning on mounting it to the back of my extra 1080p/120hz monitor that I have to make it my "portable" setup.

Edit: I wish I had 3d Printing knowledge to make my own upper lid for the computer

I saw the new drops the other day the Samsung 980 Pro and the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus... Both touting over 7GB/s speeds to rival the PS5. Impressive.

I was just about to come in here bitching about Corning not making any TB3 optical cables, but it looks like they finally did it

I can finally stow my PC and server away in a closet

I wish I had a 3D printer. I need to purchase one.

Soo many times I just need 1piece. I have a background in CAD, so using any program to draw up something wouldn't be an issue.

Is today the day we celebrate the 3090?

that would be my problem. Zero experience in design. I'm going to have to raise the top half of the chassis to fit the 1050ti, so I have to figure out a way to do that

I'm scared I will buy the wrong printer too, without spending a shtt ton of money I buy some junk that is difficult to use.
