Y'all watching the AMD Computex thingy?

5700 series Navi cards at or slightly above 2070 performance for significantly less.
Should sell very well.

That game already favored AMD though.
Posted on 5/26/19 at 9:51 pm to Korin
Well that's why I said at or slightly above, since that was about 10% more perf. Can usually pinpoint the performance within that percentage for most games.

Zen 2 15% IPC boost over Zen+.
Just 65w for the 8/16 3700X.
Lol I like how she is acting like it's some big reveal and it's been leaked and talked about for weeks.
$499 for highest end 3900X, on sale July 7th.

Uh oh, intel gonna be feeling the heat.

I find it interesting they didn't reveal or say anything about the 16 core though.
There are rumors that they are killing Threadripper and merging it all together so maybe they are waiting to reveal it later.

I'm curious about the Ryzen 7 3800X. What does the TDP difference give you over the 3700X?
And it costs about $60-70 more.

Lets slow down here until we get official benchmarks from 3rd parties instead of AMD themselves

I wouldn't necessarily say that, what matters more is how much Nvidia adjusts the price of the 2070 to compete.
We won't know any of the details until the full reveal June 10th.

I'm sure a 3950X is coming.
The 3600 and 3600X were announced too but weren't shown for some reason. They'll be $200 and $250.

hey fellas. a buddy of mine bought this ibuypowerpc computer from best buy over the weekend. it seemed to run pretty smoothly, but we didn't stress it out by no means. i'm curious if it's possible to build this same computer at a cheaper price.

I've looked at those in the store and they are atrocious. They are usually the intel stock fan.
Should he wait for the new Ryzen CPU's to come out? They are actually very good apparently.
eta actually the one he showed has a AIO liquid cooler.

It's a single 120mm cooler that's likely a POS

you guys crack me up. i appreciate the effort guys. i'm considering upgrading now. i'll keep these in mind.
i do have a question about RAM though. what do i need to look for in good RAM? i'm not one that digs into what makes the computer tick. i wouldn't notice what good RAM and bad RAM does based on what happens on screen. everything else (cpu, gpu, HDD/SDD) is pretty obvious to me.

Then you definitely dont need to spend the extra money on K series processors.
But for the ram, mostly just good timings and high speeds
