The 2600x is on sale for like 160 today. That's nuts.
The 1600 for $80 at Microcenter for months now kills that deal

In store only. Not everyone has that ability. I imagine that someone selling CPU's in their garage for $5 is an even better deal but you have to be there.

Sucks to not have one near by you then, I just picked up their Inland 512gb NVME x4 SSD for $40+tax. They sent out $20 off anything mailers a while ago. Price was $59.99, so I walked out of there for under $43 for a higher end 512 gb nvme drive

I always hit up Microcenter when I'm in Atlanta. They not only price match but they'll pay tax too.

Getting a dell R720XD tomorrow with dual e5 2660, 32gb ram, H710 raid card and 8 600gb 10k HDDs
I probably wont keep the server itself though, since I'm looking to do a more compact and quiet rack

But why?
A lot of our interest with "computer" isn't in gaming anymore.
Just FYI..
I'm would love to play with something like that for free or on the clock.

even so. Why do you need so much server stuff?

I don't have anything anymore besides a measly HP SFF PC to run pfsense and MC server.
I'll be using above server as my Plex, sonarr, and radarr, and my 1650v2 build I'll be transferring into a rack mount case to run pfsense, pihole, and MC server off of that

Worlds first PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD is hitting 5000MB/s.
That is about double the 2500MB/s of the previous gen.

That's pretty cool, but pretty useless at the consumer level

Yeah especially when PCIe 5.0 is coming in 2021 at 10000MB/s speeds.
I'm still good with my 950 Pro for awhile.
I assume that this is where the PS5 is getting its "faster than any SSD available for PC" tag from though.

Anyone have any experience with EVGA GPUs? I am looking at purchasing the RTX 2070 Ultra Gaming for $530, $500 after the mail in rebate.

They usually take forever and it comes back on a visa gift card.
I never factor the subtracted rebate cost when buying parts bc it's not worth it

Yea. Like 6mths to a year. Crazy long. But read the terms. Some could be only 3-4mths.
2nd.
