I'm rocking LINK
After a week or so of break-in, these are my favorite pair of headphones I've ever owned..
ETA: I've had them for a year now, just was very unsatisfied until a week or so in. It was interesting.

It's a great feeling. What game will you play first as a master race member?

you can get some really nice sennheiser's for around 150. I've never really liked anything I've gotten sub $100, but I use headphones a ridiculous amount. Never tried bose.
These are probably the most popular mid range headphones that you will get suggested. They are good all around at everything.

I play bass and thus only looked at headphones that could support the low end that would be coming from my bass amp.
Almost bought these before deciding to get beyerdynamics:

You gotta make alot of decisions if it is for gaming. Close or open design? Sound leakage an issue? Do you absolutely have to have a mic attached ?

I see that you value your audio quality. what sound card are you using btw?
Posted on 7/2/13 at 10:09 pm to puffulufogous
I havent purchased one yet for my desktop that I just built. I came from using ipod or laptop with headphone amp, or with my bass amp.

oh ok. I am only using a set of plantronics that were like 60 bucks but they have treated me well. Also, I am mainly listening to spotify so I don't think a sound card would be a great investment for me.

I haven't really been an audio junky so far

SoundCards are one of those things that if you have one, you can tell a difference if you go back to on-board but never knew the diff beforehand.
however
There's no point in investing in a soundcard before acquiring a upper tier set of headphones.
It's like getting a nascar driver to to drive a golfcart

yeah exactly. my source sucks anyway so buying a $200 set of cans and a $100 sound card wouldn't be a great investment for me.
