Yeah very, awesome little workstation card.

Yeah for those who don't need DP.

But I'm not talking about that, the whole discussion is about how this shows future results for the upcoming VEGA for gaming.

Reading the OCN Thread for the first times since leaks. They are talking about that miracle driver AMD released which pushed the 7970 pass Little Kepler. That was one hella driver update, what was it like 15% performance boost?

I don't really get into rumors or leaks or comparing workstation cards to gaming cards I think it's silly.

How is it silly? We compare dies all the time. It will be the same chip on gaming VEGA and 3DMark is optimized on both set of drivers.

??

Edt: we did it for TITANs since the OG TITAN. Clocks should increase giving better performance but it's great insight.

It's not. Completely different drivers that lack multiple features. RX is also faster than FE by a good bit. It's silly talk but people are bored and have been waiting.

Dude man.. lol

I know

But the suites are optimized on both. We have done it in the past, it's not 1 for 1 but it's insight. It will be faster, yes clocks but it's insight.

July 30th isn't that far away. Glad to have stayed away from rumors and the bs.

It's not BS.. and the rumors are real scores. AMD didn't send out samples so reviewers are needing to purchase.

I'm just glad we have much to talk about now. We actually have really good products on the market, a lot of them and choices. All the different choices was the fun part of this hobby.

It's BS and rumors to me. Workstation card I do not care about.

Carry on, I'm done.

Admittedly I'm not paying as much attention to the news as I want to. What makes it a workstation card if it doesn't have DP?

Because it's really not. It gives devs a card which is low cost for VR and other development.

It's in between. Just a regular which is hardware unlocked to use Pro drivers.

AMD Takes 10.4% CPU Share From Intel, largest 1/4 gain in their history
quote:

Ryzen May Be The Most Successful Product Launch In AMD’s History

AMD now commands 31% of the market, which constitutes the largest CPU share level the company has reached in a decade. Only a quarter back the company was sitting at 20.6%. A 10%+ share gain in a single quarter is unheard of in the x86 CPU market and truly reflects the magnitude of this achievement for AMD.

In Q1 2017 the company had only gained 2.2% in the same market, largely due to the fact that only half of AMD’s desktop Ryzen SKUs had been available in the market and only in the last month of the quarter. The initial launch was also hamstrung by a shortage of AM4 motherboards. The second quarter however was dramatically different. Today, AM4 motherboards are consistently in-stock and there are more than twice as many Ryzen processors to choose from.

GD dude. When you are a fanboy of something you have proven time and time on here that you are unreasonable about any discussion or criticism about those things.

It has to suck to be that way because you never open yourself up to try other things.

I speak the truth, what any one else thinks on the internet is irrelevant to me. Discussing a workstation card, for any reason, is not something I want to do and certainly not with an Nvidia fanboy to boot.

That's the beauty of the internet, don't have to do anything you don't want to.

And that is why you are a fanboy, just pay attention to rumors when it's good for you.

I don't mind being a fanboy at all though is the thing I just happen to be so for AMD whereas others on here are for Nvidia, as long as I'm right about what I know that is all I care about. See the PS4 vs Xbox fiesta years ago. Good times.

The issue is that you come off as such a fanboy that it literally stops you from being unreasonable in discussions and also stops you from trying other things.

I used to be all in on AMD but up until recently it was hard to ignore Nvidia and Intel was killing them so my two current builds are Intel and Nvidia because I want the best. You seem like you would let your fanboyism stop you from doing the same.

Not really, you wouldn't know to speak on that beyond AMD (which I've said from the get go I will stick with AMD on the GPU side probably forever) so I will dismiss it.

I've had an Intel CPU for my last 2, although if I was building from scratch right now I'd go Ryzen 6 core.

You have a 7700k right? Just curious why you would choose 1600 over other two ryzen. Would you rather have 1600 over threadripper?

Yeah I've had a 7700K since they came out, upgraded from a 6600K.

Threadripper I have no need for that many cores or PCIE lanes as I want to stay single GPU always. 6c/12t for $212 is too good to pass up if building right now.
