Been looking at the ASUS ROG 34'. LINK

What monitor are you upgrading from?

What GPU?

Curious to see if you get any FPS difference from 1080 to 1440.

LINK

The AMD hype train is about to become just a supply train, as the line to get one theses things is going to be ridiculous.

We are looking at one of the biggest releases of all time.

I have a 28" Acer 4K monitor already so it will be beside the 34".

I have two EVGA Hybrid 1080 in SLI.

I'm waiting for the scandal.

Really, I'm just waiting to see real-world performance. And money.

Videocardz - How fast is Ryzen?

For everyone here, this 2nd chart = sad face.

Say what? Faster than the 6900K for the 1700X is sad face? You drunk?

If those are accurate then Intel has been total shite for way longer than we thought.

Am I reading that chart right? Because the top end Ryzen chip was supposed to be within 5-10% IPC of the 6900K but that chart shows the 2nd highest end Ryzen chip smashing the 6900K..at a lower clock with less power.

I haven't been following any releases because my dad has been sick but is there any reason to change from my 5930K? Anything better? I am finally going to finish my build I started a few months ago.

So my 6950k is still better than anything from AMD.

Well the 6900K is 4yr old arch Haswell/Broadwell. The issue is with IPC on latest arch Skylake/Kabylake.

So yes it is a problem for gaming. The price is great, was just hoping IPC was a little higher.

Now yes clocks, but can the chips reach clocks that high? Probably so but seems like AMD would have put them a little higher at stock.

Edt: I do love the the price/performance on multi core. Now, let us see application benchmarks. Instruction sets per chip and programs which utilize the extra cores efficiently are very specific.

Not good. Had to call and get Hospice to come start care today. It's a matter of time, unfortunately.

I appreciate you asking, though.

Would be ecstatic for Haswell/Broadwell performance at that price.

Negative, the 1800X (2500 to 2100 per core) beats it by a good chunk and at 95w versus 140w.

You just paid $1600 for something that is inferior just months later to something for $499. Now that is fricking rough.
