Headphones - So far I've been considering the Hyper Cloud X and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x
The m50x are great, but I preferred my beyerdynamic dt 770s over them. Only problem with the beyers is that you really need an amp to drive

Why are all these new boards so lame?

They look fine to me? Were you expecting some crazy new redesigns?

The aesthetic evolution is slow, but they look better than ever these days.
My first big gaming powerhouse build over a decade ago used this board:
Ran this beauty for a while, too:
These were the look of gaming-class boards of that time.

I really want a new monitor, but I doubt Prime Day helps me out.

I looked at it said minor cosmetic damage.
You are obviously not worried about that?

I can return it if it's too bad

That still sucks IMO, Amazon sells the 500GB 850EVO for $164.00.
Posted on 7/15/15 at 1:36 pm to UltimateHog
Oh, didn't know that. Hadn't looked in a while and thought the MX/EVO-grade types were still $200 these days.
Prices are getting close enough to the point where I may go all-SSD in my PC soon. Hopefully there's a focus on higher-capacity SSDs soon. The 2TB 850s are cost-prohibitive.

Rumor that AMD has secured HBM v2 priority. LINK
quote:
This is an interesting story, apparently AMD secured the luxury of getting exclusive access to Hynix HBM2 graphics memory. The second iteration of High bandwith memory (stacked memory to be used on-die on the GPU) would be limited in its availability, AMD this way can secure exclusive access to it.

See what you guys think of this build:
Intel Core i5-4690K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150
MSI Z97
I was thinking this for cooling..? I'm not sure though, I need to see my power consumption with the new parts compared to my power supply
and then I was either going to get a 780ti or a 980 or 980ti
I will not be bridging, but I do plan on overclocking either way - I have never overclocked my processor either, but I would like to this time around.
Any changes you guys would make to this?
P.S: I already have 16GB of DDR3 memory, a power supply, a million fans, and a case.

Coyote or lsutoo, either one of y'all have a small 90gb or smaller SSD that y'all are willing to sell? I'm looking to pick one up today so I can have my new minecraft server up and running
Edit: or a mechanical drive, just looking for one today

I did a build for my son with that mobo and processor and a 970. His is on air with a decent OC. That h100 would be great.
If I had to buy a card today for myself it would be a 980ti.
I have a 980 in my build and would love to upgrade to the 980ti myself.
