I'm about to play it for the first time. Any tips or should I just go in blind and have fun?

NV does a good job of funneling you where you should go at the beginning. Go against the grain at your own peril/confusion.

Once you feel the game open up, slow down on the main quest and go enjoy the world. There are branch points that close off unfinished potential questlines if you get too far.

Get all of the DLC. It's amazing.

Keep multiple saves.

Civ VI

I just don’t like it. Every time I try to play it, I end up shutting it off and loading up Civ 5.

Bought Kingdom Hearts remix when i got my ps4 and still play weekly. Trying to beat the game without changing weapons or equipment is a bitch. I got all the way to hollow bastion in my last play through then died in a gummi ship mission going there.

Donkey Kong, ice climber, excite bike, MARIO bros 1 with my 5 year old.

Hopefully he doesn’t hear about the switch in kindergarten next year and continues to think these games are awesome.

While it still isn't 5, the new expansion is great. The potential is there with 6 but its taking time.

I didn't like 5 when it came out. After Gods and Kings dropped I couldn't put it down.

Hmmm... I'll pull out Dragon Age: Origins from time to time.

I know my limitations. If I pull out DA:O, I'm going to be there a while

I don't think I've ever min/maxed a glass cannon pure mage the way I did in that game...

How regular are we talkin here? I still play Chrono Trigger every few years. I too would love a (faithful) remake, but even in 2D that game nearly brings me to tears on multiple occasions. Favorite game ever.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PSX)

I was sidelined last week with an ear infection and started playing the PS Classic version on the PS3 again. I'm about 92% on the lower castle and have to go get the Silver Ring & Holy Goggles from Maria to get the correct boss and the inverted castle.

I should probably add, I play much older NES games when I can via Virtual Console or emulator. My wife still has her Atari 2600 and wears Defender out, every so often.

I occasionally play Space Invaders, Adventure, and Missile Command on an Atari emulator.
