It has been fairly common for most games the past 4-5 years or so I'd say. Still exclusives and some that don't offer it, but it is very common now.

Did you check the 3DRB position on the depth chart? Apparently there are formations that will use that RB no matter what down it is. I’ve seen that with Pistol Spread.
If the 3DRB isn’t the starter, it will use him in that formation no matter what subs I choose.

There’s another HB spot that will do the same thing in power sets like Goal Line. I think it’s PWHB or something like that.

Yep. Same with the DT, De, and LB options. Whatever you have there, if you do a 4-2-5 scheme, it will do those players regardless of your depth chart, because that is what the game assumes is your nickel options. It is unbelievably dumb (madden does it too).

I’ve done my crazy realignment but I’m having a few issues.
Anyone know if permanent opponents has been removed? Can’t seem to find it

I'm so bad on defense - I walked it down to Varsity and going to try to get the hang of it.
I didn't buy madden last year and the previous 3 years or so if I did get it- i just played around with ultimate team so I'm behind as far as football games go.

Especially for college football. It wouldn’t be that big of a deal in Madden since most offenses are the same and there’s not a wide variety of uniforms. But college there’s a HUGE variety of both that it becomes a selling point to the game. Also, it’s not like I hate the entire mode. The tier based teams is fantastic and something every sports game should implement. I can even deal with the 3 min quarters…but being able to use different uniform combos and different playbooks has and always will be a big draw for college football games…

Apparently the sim isn’t very good either. Final season stats are out of whack and way too many FCS teams winning. 14 had those problems to some extent too
