Just ordered on Amazon. Hopefully it really gets in my hands on Friday and hopefully I get sound working on the monitor before Friday.

Not sure any of us are going to sleep much next weekend.

I'm not even sure I can get it this weekend. I took off Saturday for it and all, but bills fell at a really, really bad time and I'm broke

Heck might be better to wait a bit in case of bugs.

I pretty much always play the first character for a week then realize I made about 45 mistakes in character creation so I start over.

I'm preordering today.

Now that I'm officially getting this game, the wait for Friday is going to be unbearable.

How much do you guys spend in character creation? I honestly hate this part of it and just fly through creating the most generic character I can so I can start playing

When I get too involved in character creation, I can't enjoy myself.

That's why I just throw down the stats that seen to make the most sense and don't worry about tweaking things to be just right.

Screw trying for a perfect build.

On Oblivion I saved right before the sewer exit that way I could always start right then and there. Without all the bullshite.

It might have been posted, but here's a pretty funny article from a guy that played a few hours of Skyrim:

im waiting until Dec to get the game, partially because of this.

also partially because i am up against a couple of deadlines for work and some tech classes im taking, so im fairly certain i wouldnt get a fricking thing done if i download it on the 11th.

anyone remember how broken civ 5 was when it came out? i wish i had waited for the peer reviews to come out before buying it.

I can't even begin to wonder how many hours of my life I have spent in various role playing games creating characters. I think my tolerance and patience goes back to manually rolling d&d characters with friends for hours at a time. In Baldur's Gate one can spend hours upon hours re-rolling to get the most optimum stats.

And yes, in Oblivion having a save right at the sewer gates is essential.

For those playing already on the console and/or reading console reviews, they already have a patch ready for release day so things you see/read about (complaints) may be fixed at release.

Also one note from what I have read, save your game before you fight along side npcs just in case you accidentally smack one around.

Just how drastic is the difference in graphics from PC to 360?? I don't have a PC that could handle this game so am going with 360.

There will be a noticeable difference if the PC version is running on high settings. I would hazard a guess that the 360 version would be somewhere in-between low and medium settings if it was on the PC. Should run pretty smooth on 360 though.

the graphics will still be pretty damn good tho

for all the innovations in gameplay this series makes they also do a very good job with graphics and sound. this will be amazing on top of the line PCs and better than most games you will see on consoles

Absolutely, most of the footage has come from the 360 version and it is gorgeous so I'm not complaining!

You have any links to some 360 footage? Or are the links on page 1 from a 360?
