So far, I've played to level 25-30 with three characters:
-Khajiit Thief, use sneak and archery. Completed the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood questlines
-Imperial Mage, mostly shock magic (I know fire is more damaging, but I like the Palpatine aesthetic). Became archmage, sided with Empire.
-Redguard Warrior, dual-wielding axes with light armor. Completed companions questline and became a werewolf, and am now halfway through the Alduin plot.

I tried playing a pure Mage Breton. I had to turn it down to novice and I'm still getting my arse kicked. Been levelling up magicka constantly but I'm always running low.
I just downloaded the latest patch for 360 and the textures look noticeably shittier now. Lots of flickering and popping textures. Way to go, Bethesda.

As long as they fixed resistances I can live with bad textures. No resistance sucked a lot

The whole no respec non-option is really killing my game.
For a long time it was at the perfect difficulty, now it's getting to hard, and I have a bunch of wasted perks in the restoration tree that would work better in the enchanting tree.
And I'm, trying to keep from using the console, on this play through.
Anyone else having those kinds of issues?

My goal now is to just ride Shadowmere around and find all the "black" locations on my compas. I still think it would have been cool if you could join 1-3 other players in co-op play.

In this game you are only "finished" once you no longer have the desire to play. As stated the MQ was too short, but there are a TON of things to complete and goals to achieve and some of the best ones were not intended by Bethesda.

I gues the word "intended" was not the right choice, lets just say people have been very creative in thier game play.

I'm Imperial so I don't think it will matter but; why wouldn't your recommend it?
because after completing the conspiracy in markath I'm a VERY wanted man.
the stormcloak quest requires me to go into the palace at markath to find evidence on someone....problem is, I can't go two feet without having six guards on me. I can't fight them all at once!
Furthermore, I thought I found a way around the problem by joining the companions in hopes of getting some perk that makes you "unwanted" for a time...however, I can't even complete the companions quest because the guy I'm supposed to find and "rough up" (Pelagius) is dead as a result of the storm cloak invasion of Whiterun!
Needless to say, I didn't play Skyrim to tonight.

Strange, I sided with the Forsworn on one of my games and went back to Markarth after that with no problems. If you just have a bounty, have you tried unsheathing your weapon(s) and then sheathing it/them again to yield? Then you can pay off your bounty, go to jail, bribe the guard, etc.

Follower question.
Possible spoilers.
I've had J'zargo following me for a while, but after collecting witch heads for the companion quest, I returned backed to Whiterun to turn in and not be a werewolf anymore. Turns out the companions were attacked and the leader is dead. Vilkas wants to get revenge, so he joins you, forcing J'zargo to leave. Problem is, J'zargo was carrying some stuff of mine. I decided to go back to the Mage's college and see if I could get it there, but no such luck. I figured after I'm done getting revenge, I could get him to tag along again. Will he still have my stuff or should I just write it off as gone?

I dismissed Lydia and all my burdens she was carrying disappeared.

I think the key is dismissing them.
If the game forces you to use another companion or you leave the companion waiting too long and they leave then they still have all your gear in my experience
