Took me FOREVER in Blackreach. I swear, I thought I was going mad.
Bit of advice: even though the game tells you that you have collected 30, check your inventory. I did a dumb thing and ate the first one I found to figure out the properties, but I think the game still counted it. When I went to turn it in, I wouldn't get the dialogue tree for it. I looked, and I had 29.
Also, one time, I made some potions before turning that quest in, and I wasn't really paying attention to my ingredients. I used 15 of the nirnroots and had to go to a previous save

I'm level 47 and I still haven't visited 2 of the main cities!! This game makes my life sad!

I am lvl 50 and havent been to a few of the main cities either. I just got the horn of Jurgan. PLus with all my light armor bonus wearing glass which I think looks the best my armor is 801! Also for some reason I have this Daedric Dagger that is stronger than any other weapon excep a bow stronger than deadric axe sword or mace plus i made another dagger and its not as stong and yes I was wearing the amulet of major msithing when i made all these weapons.

Anybody else feel guilty after killing the dog to get the axe?
I realized I didn't even need the axe. It is just hanging on a weapon rack in one of my houses

It's sad, I spend so much time smithing and enchanting that 5 hours will pass buy, I will have made 5k, and stocked up on Grand Soul Gems, and not realize that I have still done almost NOTHING for 5 hours!

I just did this mission yesterday, and I didn't need the axe, so no way I killed him.

I keep making wepaons and enchanting them and realizing I want different weapons and the process goees on on aqnd on

I took yesterday off from playing. I am going to try and get as close to maxed as I can tonight with SWtOR starting tomorrow. Once maxed I will use my time playing on a "fun" toon doing killing stuff like whole cities and such.

This is me. I blacksmith, enchant, create potions, sell to 15 different vendors cause they are all so poor and buy more soul gyms, leather, iron and potion ingredients...over and over and over.

Seroiusly considering starting a new character just to go to Markarth and kill every living thing inside the city walls

Okay, had an extra question on my study guide for the final in my class. I asked the students whether I should create a Sword and Shield, 2Hander or Dual Wielding character. The overwhelmingly chose DW then S&S was a distant third, only one person voted for two-hander. The one girl that voted for 2H said, not to do DW because I wouldn't be able to defend myself, but sword and shield seemed more boring than killing with a giant warhammer. I gave her bonus.
ETA: I haven't been to blackreach or labyrinth may have to do that tonight. Is there a pre-req for blackreach, how do i get in? I've explored Raldabathar but not the Mzinshaft (or whatever). Haven't done hardly any of the main quest.

Probably why you haven't come across Blackreach. It's under the mountain range north of Windhelm and south of Winterhold. Runs west all the way to above Whiterun.

I like mhield because you can sheild bash when a enemy starts to do a hard attack then yuio can wail into them. Just you use a shield doesnt mean you cant swng to weapons from time time whenI am fighting mages smetimes i swing to daggers.

I just finished the main questline and like many said, it was a little disappointing.
On the other hand, has anyone else found the "Notched Pickaxe?"
I was climbing to the highest point of the Throat of the World and there it was stuck in the rock. All it says is that it raises your smithing abilities, doesn't say how much, and does 5 shock damage on hit.
Costs 303 gold too. There is also a bunch of ebony veins up there.

So what kind of armor are the thieving types using, Dragonscale or leather?

I just started using the thieves guild armor but I'm going to go ahead and make a set of dragon scale just for thieving.

2nd question do weapons like swords and axes make you more detectable than say daggers?
