CTF is a strange situation since some characters would work while others would be useless.
I think group combat missions would be awesome. It would offer story elements and would give you an opportunity to unlock more stuff.
This game is fun, but it need s'more or it will have zero staying power.

OK, I've been pretty busy at work this last week.
I'll go through the posts and add names to the OP.

The game is a lot of fun, but they really need to add more game modes.
I have to say that I am more than a little amused over this game getting 9s and 10s across the board yet launched with less content than Battlefront. Pretty sure a lot of those hailing Overwatch as the second coming are the same ones that complained about Battlefront being $60.
For me, it's a value propisition issue. That said, I'm not sure I'm one of those who say FPS games need a ton of maps or game modes (there's a reason virtually all CS footage is of one map) as long as the core of what you have is solid. The only map I think is bad is Temple of Anubis. Otherwise, I think I can get plenty of hours of enjoyment out of what's on offer.
I'm not sold on class balance though. I feel like there's two types of games in Overwatch: getting rolled and rolling the opponent. It would also seem that no matter your skill level your team's composition as opposed to the other team's composition plays a huge role in the outcome of the match, and some characters are just ridiculously OP in the right hands.

I got it for ps4 and played it all weekend. I can answer this for sure. Bilzzard created a family friendly FPS, amazing characters, good balance, fully realized world. My 6 year old daughter plays against the AI and it's surprising how good she is and how much fun she has playing it. The content will come.
Battlefront on the other hand had the Star Wars universe and brand to pull from, along with 2 full previous BF games, and 3rd cancelled one. All the content was there, and they still skimped on the gameplay. It's a pretty big difference.
I'm a huge TF fan (I played TF and mega TF when it was just a quake 1 mod, then TF classic, and of course TF2) This does borrow heavily from those games, but the characters are original and fresh enough to make it
incredible.

There is a lurker here who added me and we've been playing together for a few days.
It is amazing how much of a difference having even one person to coordinate compositions/combos with makes.
It's like night and day.

I think you are arguing against yourself a little here. The composition only matters, not the skill of the player per say, unless the hero has the right skilled player then it is OP? Which is it, skill or team make up?
I have had a ton of really even games that have had some really fun stalemates. Team make up is important, but the skill is by far the bigger trait. I won a game where my entire team were Symmetra. Why? Cause why the hell not

You can win with any combination you want, if your team is good enough. The team composition just helps level the playing field some.

Had a team on offense on Anubis where we all went Winston and one person went Lucio.
The defending team shite their pants when the doors opened.
We won the game in 2 minutes.

As addicted as I am to Splatoon, I can't imagine how badly this thing would own me.

I did that too on Volsaia (sp?) I believe. It was Hilarious. A team of Lucio's is surprisingly effective in the brawl as well.

Hmmm, what about a team with 3 Lucio's and 3 Tracer's.
Just keep the speed boost constant

Not a bad plan at all.
Last night a buddy and I were both tracer on Watchpoint. The rest of our team were like Hanzo, Widow, and a few other just killing heros but not great for transport. They were all off playing tiddlywinks so me and my buddy just did laps around the payload the entire time, slowly but surely moving it, and somehow won. Was essentially just a merry go round for the win

Xbone guys, add me if you want to squad up!
Bluebarracuda77
I usually run with 1-2 other people in a party, so I've been looking forward to getting a full squad

Tracer is OP as frick in open areas.
In closed spaces? Good luck.
Speed boosted Reapers are also not fricking fun to see roll out the door.
Six Symetra's with 6 fricking turrets everywhere is highly annoying.

I bought the game this weekend and have been playing with three friends on PS4.
My only complain is that it was taking us 5-10 minutes to find a game. Is that normal?
Lol as probably lame as this sounds, Mercy has been my go-to and I think I've done a solid job with her. In my friends' and I's first night playing we went 18-4 overall. Like someone mentioned above, having communication (especially since I was the healer for 90% of those games) really helped out.
McCaigBro69 is my PSN.

At first it was all D.Va for me, but lately I've had quite a bit of success with Symmetra. I love making a corridor of instant death with bunch of clustered turrets. Getting more kills than I did with D.Va, and dying a lot less too.

If there isnt a Lucio, i go lucio. Hes that important.
Winston will frick up some tracers/Ghenjis, as will syymetra.
If you arent on a communicating team, youre at a severe handicap in this game.

I really like D.Va and I can get a significant number of kills with her out of the suit.
I'm getting better with Widowmaker and I also like that robot healing guy but in not that good yet.
The most annoying character currently in the game is Reinhart. That shield is so damn overpowered, plus the amount of health he has is insane. His lack of range is largely irrelevant.

I've started to shift to Zarya recently. A great offensive tank in most instances and that Special is fantastic when used in the right moment.
I mean I like Reinhardt but playing him gets old quick.
So right now - Mei, Zarya, Lucio, Junkrat in most cases.
