Anybody know if incense attract just common ones or rare ones too?

Woot, just got a kabuto, need a ton more
Up to 129 in the dex with raichu, hypno, golem, and ninetails waiting for my next evolve cycle.
Got a good source for magnemite, machop, and grimer. Just slow catching rate.
Any good places down in Louisiana to catch shellder, voltorb, omanyte (got omastar already lol), or kabuto?
Besides that I need hitmonlee and lapras. So I am getting pretty close to being dependent on eggs or extremely rare spawns.

I have gotten rare ones from it. Usually you get one uncommon to rare spawn each essence.

Just had a wild Kadabra break out of 2 ultra balls and 3 great balls then run away. 
At least it's CP sucked. Caught a Grimer today and now have enough candy for Poliwrath...

I'm pretty sure I believe the theory from the guy that caught all 142 that rare Pokemon spawn near stops on the half hour and hour.
I've noticed today with lures between two pokestops on the 30 minutes and hour:
Rapidash, Kadabra, Rhydon, Bulbasaur, Onix
Yesterday it was Ninetales and in the past Venusaur
Those are not normal spawns

This is for normal spawn Pokemon only, I only farm crappy Pokemon at lures.
Most Pokemon spawn every 15 minutes and last for 15 minutes. There are occassionally ones that spawn for 30 minutes. Most mass spawns happen at 00, 15, 30, 45. So you see a lot spawn at that time. lures may work the same way, but their disappear time is extremely short and not 15 minutes.
I think the guy that caught all 142 already is using what a lot of people are using now. Some version of the ahaaaaaa spawn location map to know exactly where things are spawning and how quickly you can get there. Hell some people have push notifications for rares.
