I had an awesome Ponyta that lost a good move set when it turned to Rapidash.

At least now have Poliwrath.

im 15 candies away from Poliwrath myself.

read a good protip on reddit for mass evolving.

before mass evoing, FAVORITE every pokemon you intend to evo and then SORT your pokemon list by FAVORITES. this will save you time scrolling.

That's a good tip. I just screwed up doing this. Favorited all the ones to evolve but didn't sort.

Kind of sad when I got 45k-ish XP during a lucky egg session but still 13k away from 23.

how do you dodge?

Just swipe the pokemon?

I walked around City Park at lunch today and went up two levels. Not bad.

yes, swipe left or right immediately after your screen flashes yellow.

tap your, or the enemy, pokemon to auto attack

hold down on your, or the enemy, pokemon to perform a special attack, once you fill the blue energy bar up

I'm finally seeing high 600 to low 800 CP Pokemon in the wild. although they may not be awesome ones I'm just glad to see high CP and now I'm hoping to find some better/rarer ones.

So I'm checking pokestops by my house where a gym is and it's being taken. Guy leaves a 2337 Arkanine and nods to me. I proceed to take it down and leave a Magikarp. What you're about to see is an actual reenactment of what happened next.

Nice.

I think the incense is bullshat. Used it last night walking. Still only spawned a poke once every 5 minutes. Won't bother using them anymore except when I'm laid up sorry on the couch or something.

if that Snorlax has Lick, it would be the best pokemon in the game, at the moment. aside from ones with 15/15/14 and 15/15/15 IVs

Lick and hyperbeam. He's a badass. My buddy has a 2200+ Snorlax and couldn't take 3 pokes in a gym with one go for training and this guy was taking all 3 like a champ. He was pissed. I got him up to 2039 now.

And I can find this where?

It's one of the ahaaaaaa map forks, just google Pokemon go dev tools and Reddit has all the cheats. Don't use your main account or you will most likely get banned. I wouldn't use any associated devices or ip addresses tied to your account either. Get a kimsufi vps Debian shared server to do it.

I read that someone saw in the code that incense spawns a pokemon every 200 meters. If you are walking slowly, it won't spawn much for you. I was riding my bike and it spawned a shitload of pokemon this weekend

I walked like normal. Walked the perimeter of a park we go to in the evenings a couple times. Maybe it was just a bug or something, but only got 5 or 6 pokes in 30 minutes. Figured I'd nab a few pokes while I was working on my eggs.

Not that big of a deal, but I won't bother doing that anymore.

What happens if you fight at one of your team gyms?

It's called "training". If you train enough, you'll raise the prestige of that gym. Raise it enough, it'll open up extra slots that your team can drop Pokemon in to help defend it.

For me it is always the really common stuff. I did have a Ponyta show up once but it bolted after one escape. Other than that it is the usual Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle, etc. Tonight a Bellsprout showed up and I was happy with that because I am close to evolving my Weepinbell.

Can't believe the people who are even 1/2 way to evolving their Magikarp. I only have one, it was one of the first Pokemon I ever found. Since then...none. I got it at the casino, I guess because we were on the river? I will hit up the Lakes this week to see if I can find some more.

So it does nothing for your own personal gain?

It does. You get experience points for each training session (battle) you do. If you open up another slot in the gym, you can place one of your pokes in there. If your team holds it for 22 hours, you can revisit it and get coins for holding it.

Here's a cut and paste from a FAQ:

OK, what about my own team's gym? Can I battle my own team?

You can! Gyms belonging to your team are considered friendly, but they do allow for battling. These battles exist for training purposes, however, so it's a good idea to visit the spots that your own team is already holding down to help strengthen your party for those rival gym battles. They'll pick up experience, win or lose.

Not only can you train your Pokémon at your team's gyms, but you can help to fortify its presence at these places to ensure that no rivals can take them down.

How do gym battles at friendly gyms work?

Mechanically, battles play out in the same way as they do at rival gyms. Entering training mode involves sending out one Pokémon against the set of trainers who've claimed this gym for your team already. With each trainer you topple, the gym's prestige will increase.

Attaining enough prestige points will successfully level up the gym and give you the chance leave a single Pokémon behind to defend the gym. This is also possible if the gym has an open slot available for a battle-ready trainer. Although you will receive your Pokémon back if a rival beats in battle, it's still smart not to give up your best monster in the name of your team. Assuming your team's defense is good enough, you won't get that critter back for quite some time.

Are there rewards for winning gym battles?

There are! Don't expect to receive any gym badges — that's a feature that Pokémon Go is missing — but the kinds of rewards that Pokémon Go has to offer are still worthwhile. Raising your team's prestige level thanks to your strong defenses is bound to feel good, and leveling up your Pokémon is useful for taking on enemies. When you're stationed at a gym, you'll also pick up items for each day that your Pokémon remains undefeated. These include PokéCoins, which are otherwise available for actual real world dollars, along with Stardust, which you can use to power up your Pokémon.

What's the largest number of Pokemon that anyone has mass evolved with a lucky egg. I have 72 ready to evolve but I want to wait until I get to level 18. I'm currently at level 14.5

Has anyone on an android had luck faking their GPS to catch pokemon? I just thought of this today and it looks like Niantic just caught onto it. I'm still gonna try to do it even though it gets you banned
