I wish I could find a nice online maps that just showed gyms and stops. I would like to map out the most efficient walk or drive.
I can't find anything that actually works though.

It is crazy how close you have to be to the stops to get them to work. I figured it would be a hundred yards so. I have a stop maybe 700 feet from my house and can't do anything with it unless i go there.

Welp, all that did was confirm what I thought all along. There ain't shite around me but pidgeys and rats.

spin the pokestops on my way to work while flying down the highway without stopping.

Great names
I bounce around 30K stardust at the moment. Need to start saving it more.
Let's all remember though, it isn't about winning, it's about sending a message. Let them know how the game is played. Come at me. ETA: Took over a level 7 gym, then dropped this.

It's all about timing. You have to be very percise. closer to the road it is the easier it is as well. I get lucky a lot.

Hmmmm, looks like Jackson Square may be a Growlithe nest. Might have to take me a walk over there today.

Man, Alabama got shafted.

My catch of the game happened today. Driving from town of 300 to town of 3500 where I have a farm. Get there and open the game to hit a few poke stops. After I hit them I'm about to close it because I'm running behind and don't need to be trying to catch pidgey and rattatas, when it vibrates. I look at it and it looked like a rattata at first but bigger. Click on it and it's a 1228 cp snorlax. 3 great balls and razz berries later he's mine! Keep grinding rural guys break throughs happen when you least expect it!

Of course the fricking Pokestops won't work when I'm in desperate need of more balls.

Lets talk about gym strategy.
I need to start taking into account the TYPE of Pokemon I'm fighting and not just necessarily throw in the highest CP.
Post some good tips on gym battles baws.

just spam Vaporeon. typing doesn't matter. the penalties and bonuses are minimized from 2x, .5x an 0x to 1.2x, .8x and .8x
never use special attacks, and dodge every time your screen flashes yellow.

They might a little though.
I had a 1070 Exeggutor against a 800 Likitung and the Likitung whooped my arse. Every time he touched me it was super effective. On the other hand, the eggs attacks were ineffective against the Likitung. I couldn't beat him.
I suck at dodging though.
Is dodging a must do? Every time I dodge the game lag fricks it up.

Really?
No shite.
Interesting.

typing certainly helps but its not that important because...
...every attack can be dodged. wait for the screen to flash yellow, then dodge. latency makes it a bit tougher. theres a yellow flash and then the animation begins, try to dodge that way, get your attack in, wait for a dodge, attack again
another big damage increase is STAB. Same Type Attack Bonus. The pokemons basic attack should be the same type as its own type.
for instance, vaporeon (water) uses water gun (water). Some pokemon have different attack types than their main type, so they don't do as much dmg.

You never use specials?
I can see the logic considering the animation takes a couple of seconds to execute.

I use them when I know i'm going to win and finish them, for fun and see the animation
in a legit battle vs a high CP pokemon, no I don't use them

I typically save hte special until I know it will finish off the opponent, sorta like wrestling finishing moves. Not sure if that's optimal strategy but it's just how I like to do it.
