map may be bugged if the tracker is blank and no stops/gyms are showing. you can try to restart the app but that doesn't always fix it.
There's an evolve button under power up...it makes a stronger, different pokemon that uses the base pokemon's candy.
The stronger ones are used for gym fighting, which is where you get more exp as well as bonuses (currency and stardust) for taking it over.

My high was close to 70. You don't get to 24 almost 25 this quick by taking it easy lol.
What will happen when my egg hatches? Also, how do you decide which pokes to use your money on evolving? And how did you evolved 45, do you have like 1000 gold?

Only place I have caught one in Hattiesburg is near the city hall fountain. The one that looks like a ball downtown off Front st.

I see you own a gym downtown.. saw some smoke coming from it during lunch, almost joined the fun, but had an incense going.

You get a Pokemon based on the distance.
I dont spend coins now, I did buy all the inventory space I could, 1000 items, so I could keep enough balls not to worry about it. I think I bought two Pokemon space upgrades too. I need to buy more lucky eggs though. Use google rewards for free money.
I spend my candies to evolve easy to find Pokemon to level up faster and ones I don't have in the pokedex. I try to evolve as many high level vaporeons as possible to stick in gyms as well.

You get a Pokemon when your egg hatches. 10km is going to be a better pokemon than 2km (or typically is).

Evolve the shitty pidgeys, rats, weedles, and caterpies to get exp. I wouldn't use any stardust until you are a decently high level (probably 15+).
Once you get to level 9 you get a lucky egg which doubles your experience for 30 minutes, when you use it. It's a good idea to save up evolves of those lower tier pokemon (pidgeys etc...) until you pop your lucky egg and then start evolving.

took my nidoqueen and vaporeon sparring at the local friendly gym.
vaporeons attack animation..lol
also don't forget to utilize STAB when fighting in gyms. Same Type Attack Bonus.. 25% more damage.
make sure your fightin' pokemons' basic attack is the same as his "type" for the bonus

That's disappointing. I was hoping to find a nice lake or park around here to farm and I've been to several...no such luck.

Apparently golf courses have been pretty good for people. May want to give that a shot

at the Gulfport yacht club/ship island excursion point, there are like 5 lures within 100m and a frickton of water pokemon spawn there.

May do that. Yeah I wish I lived on the coast right now

I'm trying to find it, but I saw some memes that showed the different types of pokemon and where they liked to spawn. Service areas (hospitals, office sectors, etc) were good ones, as were residential areas. I want to say golf courses were good for dragon pokemon, but can't remember.

Don't waste your candy on evolving them right now. Save up a ton of pidgey's, caterpie's, and weedle's. when you have a ton (like in the 50's at least), pop a lucky egg when you get one and evolve all of them, you'll power level.
Right now, if you evolve the stuff you have, you'll find the un-evolved version at much higher levels very soon.

should I evolve every pokemon I catch?
Posted on 7/19/16 at 2:11 pm to GoCrazyAuburn
I saw that same chart last night.
hospitals, college universities, ponds/lakes, farmland, etc
unsure as to its accuracy but it sure seems plausible

the only way to evolve things is to find more of them, or hatch one so you get the bonus candies. Unfortunately, if you just kind of hang around one area (I stayed in or around my apartment for the first week) you won't find much and the rare ones you do find you'll never evolve because, well...they're rare.
My girlfriend and I have driven to a spot on UAB's campus the last couple of nights that has 3 stops within range of each other and chilled there with Lure's going on all 3. That helps get a lot of pokemon in so that you can stock up on easy evolves and stardust. don't waste your stardust on shitty pokemon, save them for the good guys later down the road.

Hospitals have been good for multiple reasons. There are lures there constantly, and I think they are rare hot spots, for obvious reasons. It makes sense to the game, they want you out doing things, so going to outdoor/landmarked places will yield better results, obviously.

No I would wait. It seems like a grind because it is. Save your stardust and your candies on your stronger pokemon. Stockpile them until you get to at least a level 15...some say a level 20..before you start evolving. By then you should have some really powerful shite.
Evolve things like weedles, pidgeys and rattata's. Don't power them up, just evolve them.
