Ok it looks like a cartoon with low quality textures, is that better for you

Were you one those who griped about Wind Waker graphics and demanded something like Twilight Princess to make up for it?

Never said anything about Wind Waker looking bad, in fact in the Zelda E3 thread I compared it to the one coming out and said I preferred the look of it.

Was just pointing some of the hyperbole when people are satisfied with low polygon blocks.

If you can't understand what I was trying to say I can't help you at this point, you're being obtuse.

I would like if Bethesda took on something like this. NMS's formula with bethesda's resources, storytelling, and clout would make one hell of a game.

Now reviewers won't get game until day of release. Not a good sign

It's a calculated risk to avoid anymore damage being done than already has been to the preorders.

Wouldn't surprise me at all though if the small indie studio can't deliver on the promises they made.

Thank the leakers for that (and most notably the douchebag that paid $1300 for the game to spew his bullshite all over reddit)

The response if the leaks were actually incorrect, should have been to drop the embargo early and get a broader narrative out there.

I'm not saying this is a death knell, but Doom embargoed the hell out of people this year and turned out amazing. Generally though this PR tactic is a way to cover for a poor game.

More and more games are doing this. It used to mean a bad game but now it could mean anything.

It just seems odd that the devs basically haven't done anything in response to the leaks. It certainly seems like something where you would want some kind of a rebuttal out there if it weren't true.

One would be inclined to believe that they bit off more than they could chew, and want to scrounge up and salvage every dollar they can from pre-orders.

I think they made promises they didn't deliver on, and they figured people would be too engrossed in the environment to notice.

Although I don't see how they thought they could slip 70+ hours of promised gameplay out and no one would notice.

I think we are on the same page here. The game will be "fine," but probably not $60 fine.

I think some of the concerns about how fast you can reach the center of the galaxy are a bit overblown. This is a game where that shouldn't be the entire summation of your goal of you want to like the game.

At the same time, the other tumors about shallow content are certainly troubling. This has always seemed like a project people put way too much faith into.

The videos got removed before I could watch the full thing, but it seems they said it took hundreds of hours to get to the center of the universe even if that's all you did, and some guy did it in 30, even while stopping to smell the roses.

Obviously his copy may have been some draft or demo version, but it does send up a few red flags.
