Tank meta is to blame somehow.

I own him, I've been loving him for awhile now

He is the highest winning % for me, the next closest is like 10% less (Volibear)

I've been thinking about this Tank Meta the guys I play with and other sites have been saying.

If I want a champ that fits that style and does pretty solid damage, who would you choose? I've got a ton of IP to spend and want to try out a few.

Aka I'm trying not to spend my IP on freaking Ekko.

Any suggestions?

Voli, Naut, Xin, Ryze, Sion, Sej, Malphite, Mundo

For "anti-tank" champs that shred defense:

Swain, Talon, Kass, and WW

I was thinking Ryze or Swain from the ones you posted, how is their learning curve?

I enjoyed Trundle a few months back the last time I played him (He was free). Does he have a place right now?

trundle has a very high floor and a very low ceiling, imo. You won't be useless if you get shite on, but you won't hard carry if you dumpster some kid. He is very good at countering tanks running at an adc but I haven't seen him picked very much.

Ryze has a pretty high curve to master IMO and requires specific runes to maximize his ability.

Swain is countered by ignite but can still have a serious impact on the game.

Sejuani and Volibear are pretty strong out of the jungle right now. Amumu is always relevant but can get counterjungled hard. Zac is fun and not too bad out of the jungle. If you're looking for tops, I'd just learn Irelia. She will never be irrelevant.

Same here. Always fun to win against a couple of highly ranked players...especially a late game Vayne

I see what your saying about a high ceiling.

I'm no pro for sure, pretty low elo. Seems like I get paired with low silvers and golds most of the time, so it probably won't matter.

I'm mainly looking for someone that can get in the other teams face and not get absolutely destroyed.

I experimented with Singed yesterday and won a couple of matches going around 8-6-20ish. Never had played him before, so it was weird. Man he can take some damage though.

Trundles ult literally steals tank stats from the other teams main tank. And it's getting buffed next patch.

He has seen some pro play in china. With a tiamat he becomes a splitpush threat.

Singed can be good but it's an entirely different play style than any other champ.

If you have the pacience, nasus becomes god late game.

Xin zhao and Darius are considered freelo in low elo.

I'm on a 15 game ranked win streak, should hit silver tonight.

I wish I knew how godly Poppy was sooner, absolutely destroying.

part of being a dps bruiser is knowing how/when to use your skills. The enemy team needs to be afraid of you because

"omg he does so much damage but is so tanky!"

So doing damage helps you "not get destroyed" because sometimes they will hesitate/run instead of just killing you(at least in lower levels when people don't have the wherewithal to realize your skills are on cooldown).

Renekton is a pretty solid pick through lower and mid-high elo ranges if you can get good at it as he can be pretty tanky and do good damage to squishies, even with only 1 offensive item.

I'm not sure how he translates to upper-level play but I know people mid-plat who do nothing but play renekton top and do well for themselves.

I tried nasus the other day, and he just didn't match my playstyle - so I was actually going to try Renekton next
