I am bringin that shite to America bitch.

ETA: But on a more serious note, I'm a little disappointed they are removing URF. Supposedly it will be back during pre-season next year, but still...

Why does Riot do that? Put a game mode people love then take it away? It's not like it was buggy.

The community has a way of ruining everything that is fun.

In URF yesterday, I had an Annie Sit by inner-turrets in base b/c as Jax in bot lane... i didn't want to sit around and get poked to death vs a Ziggs/Caitlyn.

So, I left... went farm, ganked lanes, but it was stupid to keep dying and getting harrassed.

Totally toxic, Annie asked for report before 3:00min mark. Was butt hurt like a little girl.

Everyone wants to be super try-hard. Once the novelty wears off, so does the fun.
People put too much of their personal worth in whether they win or lose the game.

As much as I liked URF, it's getting time for it to go. People are only playing the super-OP champs to win instead of either playing champs they enjoy or playing new champs to learn.

RIP URF.

ETA: I'm gonna jungle some tonight. I wonder how OP smite is when you can use it 3-4 times on Dragon.

Even still, if you don't like it, why does that mean it should be gotten rid of?

I for one love it, as do a lot of others.

If it's that boring or old to some people, I don't see why that means it needs to be disbanded for everyone.

I mean hell, they keep dominion and whatever the hell else that other game mode is, and I NEVER even hear people talk about them. At least URF is somewhat popular.

Basically they are coming out with a new game mode every few months to entertain people. One for All, Hexakill, URF, etc. They stated that these aren't going to stick around forever, but they are always available to come back temporarily. How many game modes can there be at once? I don't think any more than what we have now. Like you said Dominion has very low involvement. Traditional Summoners Rift, ARAM, Dominion, + 3 more of the Featured Game Modes that have already been released + the ones that have yet to be released. Seems like a lot.

Dominion and that other game mode (I can never remember it) can be retired if it's solely about game mode numbers. No one plays that shite.

I don't see why more game modes is a bad thing. Summoner's rift (Normal version) would still be king of the hill while ARAM, URF and Hexakill would be your fun, non competitive game modes. People like the other game modes. I don't think it's a bad thing to have more options.

Looks like that little break from ranked was just what I needed. Come back and win three straight to get right back into promos to Silver 4. Getting fed on Ezreal is fun.

ETA: Fkn got up to use the bathroom and picks go way faster than I thought and I get kicked out for not getting back in time. Chalked up as a loss for my promo. I swear I can't get out of my own way to get out of silver 5.

So you're the guy I'm wishing hateful shite upon when that 9th player doesn't accept....

At least that's understandable. I don't get people who immediately decline...why even join the queue at that point?

I just thought that since it was a custom game mode that Riot would be removing it soon... just like Hexakill and 1-4-all.

The damn try-hards that only pick OP champs make the mode not very fun.

Word's out... URF sticking around till the 13th. They added a few more champs to the ban list.

Alistar, Nidalee, Soraka, Hecarim, Kayle, & Skarner.

Now we can use the bans on champs like Shaco, Eve, Ez, Fizz, Morgana, & Brand. Among others.

It'll be like new all over again.

I'm down with that

What if they kept it around and did a weekly ban list like they do with free champs? Take the 6 most popular champ picks for that game mode for the previous week and ban them for the next week (eliminate champion select bans).

ETA: The ban list is mostly irrelevant to me. The only champ I occasionally use is nidalee to practice her skill shot. Other than that I play a lot of adc champs, ziggs, voli and pantheon.

Eventually, someone would have to play the crap tier champs.

They had to ban those champs. They were godtier and consumed all of the picks/bans; the heals and shields were just too strong.

- Alistar, Sona, & Soraka could heal through just about anything. Unless you 100-0'd them, any damage you got on them was useless.
- Skarner could tank whole teams and turrets & Heca-copter was soo broken.
- Nid's heal and spears were so annoying. Kayle ulting every 12 sec with a 6 sec duration... Only a 6sec window to kill her.
* And if these ever made it through picks/bans. You better hope they were on your team.

As to me. I don't own any of them.
It was a pain to play against them.

Ziggs is a douche early game with the bombs. After everyone gets ult, he's not as big of an issue.

I really enjoy this game mode to practice champs and skill shots.
My ashe Ults were nasty yesterday. I was hitting them from crazy angles and turning fights around from across the map.
Ganks and turret dives are easy post-6. Lock up their main threat and our team blows them up.

Had several kills by Ulting to a turret... waiting to time the TP... getting there just after the ult hit and blowing someone up. I'm such a stinker.

I think I'm gonna spam Ori/Ahri next to work on mechanics.
I think I'm done playing Ashe, Vayne, Malph, & Jax in this mode.

I've done the best in this game mode with ziggs. His Q is just so damn strong all game. So long as you're with a buddy, ziggs is dangerous, or at least I think so.

His laning is super tough. Constant Q's and 2-3 mine fields.

I can usually keep people backed off with Ori's ball or Ashe's Q until lvl 3-4 when people get their gap closers. But not Ziggs. At lvl-2, he pushes almost everyone out.
Only leblanc in lane has helped me go even vs a Ziggs.

But once everyone has their ult, his poke isn't as dangerous. You can dodge his ult... and he's good at zoning/poking, but not 1v1'ing.
You def need to 2v2 with him to have a chance vs CC and assassins.

Assassins and CC seem to rule this game mode.

I tried Elise, but her advantage in normal mode is the ability to toggle through 6 spells (whereas everyone else has just 3-4).
She just gets out-scaled soo hard that she ends up being a support/split pusher.

1v1, it depends, but usually you'll lose that as ziggs.

I've found the key to using him in URF, is sneakily using your ult during team fights. Or in a 1v1, I'll use it right before I'm about to die, and usually I'll kill them even though they've killed me.

If you have no poke, it's impossible to lane against him.

ETA: CC will generally win you URF. Freaking thresh gets a constant hook with no CD if you land it every time. It's insane. As a tank, I was able to sit there and hold off two damage dealers waiting for my team to respawn.

AD thresh

CC is great and all, but damn that invisibility.

Brand has a permastun. If he gets you locked up.... you can't even flash out.

Morgana is virtually unkillable with blackshield and that damn binding.

Anyone with invisibility are the only ones I couldn't 1v1 as ashe. Eve, Wukong, Shaco, Talon, Khaz, etc. I even bought the sweeper trinket to get the reveal... b/c noone uses pinks.

I just think that even with that ult CC stun, Ashe doesn't have enough damage dealing abilities to lane without the team.
There is alot of poke from the W.
But the Q is just a minor slow & E does nothing.

Vayne was pretty Filthy with the Condemn almost always up.

She is a lot of fun to play in URF.

Ashe's E with a low CDR is a pretty good tool in keeping you out of bad positions. Her lack of an immediate escape is my only issue with her, but her kiting ability is asinine (as is her ability to chase).

Nidalee was probably the worst to play against among champions with a heal. She would heal for half her health bar every couple of seconds and could take half of yours with one spear.

At least against soraka, I feel like I stand a chance.

I wanna experiment with crazy builds... like 5 blood thristers or rabadons.

Most of my champ pool doesn't benefit from Earth.
I don't mid lane much... so I don't play all of those CD-based, mana-hungry champs.

I might grab Yi. He was hella-strong with that Alpha strike and speed boost always up.

Fed Yi in normal mode is hard enough to deal with. In URF, it's ridiculous. Especially considering you can't touch him while he Q's.

I don't remember what his ult does.
But I saw a tutorial video from a Korean Challenger Yi main

You can dodge turret shots, ults, and crit all 5 member of the opposing team using his Q.
.... which in Urf is up nearly 100% of the time.
