But you conform if you want to win. I played over 100 ranked games with Ahri last season. I've played her one time this season. You just have to adapt.
I'm aware, but even as a game, I play to have fun, and spamming lucian/jinx thresh/annie, is tired as frick. I prefer to try different things.
I get the pros have to do what they have to to win. There is money on the line. Doesn't mean it doesn't get a little boring sometimes.

They roll out all the big changes for the new seasons, find the problems, fix said problems. Around the Summer LCS split things will be a lot better in terms of balance. They've already fixed the Perseverance mastery. That one was huge. The top lane meta will shift in a few patches, I think. Nasus has already all but disappeared.
Certainly. I just get tired of seeing the same champs over and over.

Lucian and Jinx aren't even the only viable ADCs. Neither is thresh/Annie. Vayne, draven, sivir, caitlyn tristana, ezreal, twitch any of those are fine.
For support leona, blitz, zyra, fiddle, alistar, soraka any of those are viable

Nah. I make a point of playing champs that are in no danger of getting nerfed but still really strong. Xerath before rework, Syndra, Cassio, and Shyvana before the bandwagon came.

I played shyvana for all of season 3 with no nerfs, and xerath got a rework because no one played him, not because people knew he was strong.
And I can list more. I played Swain, Mord, Karth, Malzahar over 30 times each last season. There are like 5 champs that aren't viable.

Ranked Queues are back up for anyone that cares.

Alistar is extremely viable. shite he was picked in the ogn finals. Granted that's 5v5. I have seen tons of him in challenger/diamond. Soraka is fine too. Really screws over the Annie burst when you silence her and heal in the middle of her combo

I agree with ali but not with raka. If the lane is left alone Raka does great but bot lane is the most important lane to gank and Raka has no initiation/cc for the jungle to really get a good gank in. Plus when raka is going against annie it is easy for the annie lane to 100 to 0 someone when they get 6. It will usually be the raka just because she has 0 getaway moves and will not get the armor bonus of her heal. Raka in the teamfight stage is pretty nice with the armor boost and heals but you usually need another source of CC from your support.
I love good ali players though because he is an amazing peeler and playmaker. He has a great initiation with his knockup. He can ram a person away who is diving for your adc and works very well as another tank.

The no CC is what hurts Raka the most.
She is way too easy to gank. The enemy jungler can easily feed bot lane off of her.

I'm hoping all of my problems are just due to my new router.
I just dropped the cash money on a Netgear R7000.
And there are tons of posts on the Netgear forum discussing erratic ping issues and firmware problems.
So, I'm going to plug in my old router and see if I have any problems in-game. If not, I'll know it's the firmward on the new router.
I'll try to upgrade the firmware and see if that works, or just return it for something else.
Netgear 2006 > Netgear 2014.

Highly doubt it's your router. Riot is just having extreme connection issues this month. Not sure if their servers are just getting too full because seems like everytime the servers crash it's at peak time. And soraka is fine its just the most passive Lane in the world. She's amazing in a cheesy double ap bot lane

I'll find out for sure tonight.
If my old router works perfectly and my new one doesn't, then it's the new router's firmware.
I think I found a link to a new 3rd party beta firmware that's getting good results.

Wait are you getting ping and fps issues or just ping?
Posted on 2/18/14 at 4:21 pm to Greace
Ping only. FPS stays constant at 60 (only 60 Hz monitor).
Posted on 2/18/14 at 6:17 pm to Mahootney
I haven't had any issues for about the past 4 days or so. I think it's certain servers.
Posted on 2/18/14 at 6:20 pm to Drewbie
Yeah I haven't had server issues in a while.
