Any new information? Just lie to me.

ok.
Even though the graphics don't blow people away in the trailer, that is the PC game on low setting which could run on a Pentium 75.
So, with a solid card the graphics will be so mind bendingly awesome, Bethesda has decided the game will not be released with Ultra Settings because it simply wouldn't be fair to other games.

The trailer appears to switch between scenes that are pre and post the nuclear apocalypse that created the world we know in Fallout 3. However, did you notice that one of the apparently pre-apocalypse scenes contains Brotherhood of Steel soldiers, an organisation that was meant to have emerged after the apocalypse?
That’s led us to an interesting theory: could civilisation after Fallout 3 have developed to a roughly equivalent state that it was at before the nuclear apocalypse over decades, only for history to repeat itself and for a second nuclear apocalypse to occur, setting up the events of Fallout 4?
That seems to be a bit of a reach that is assuming the armor was invented entirely post war.

Downloading and playing my first Fallout game tonight to get introduced to the world before Fallout 4 drops. I've been reading the wiki like crazy the last two days as well. Can't decide between 3 or New Vegas. What do you guys think?

3.
Although I am biased since I only played 3.
If you think it is a bit clunky and you don't like the The Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System , don't give up. I hated the game at first but kept going and was rewarded. I think I played 3 or 4 times all the way through.

Yeah, I saw that after and didn't care enough to edit in a "oh, beaten to it."

This is why we can't have nice things

Weekend steam deal, base games for 3 and NV are $4.99. GOTY editions are $11.99.

I prefer New Vegas, but a large part of that is due to that game being more similar in personality and style to Fallout 1 and 2 since it has many of the same developers. Fallout 3 might appeal more if you really like Bethesda's style.

if I didn't have them already, I'd be on them like white on rice

So I need to ask, when using V.A.T.S., does anyone ever aim ANYWHERE other than the head? Shooters have ruined me to think this is the only spot an enemy should be shot at.
