Yea if you don’t throw immediately then you’re getting a penalty.

Rpo screen or slant works but you gotta read the D pre snap

My backup center played 18 snaps in 2 games and won the Best Center award.

Those must have been 18 amazing plays.

So I haven't played a football video game since 14 came out. Wow, I suck. I can not throw against zone coverage. I'm throwing anywhere from 4-6 picks a game.

I was in the same boat but have been able to tone down the INT’s as of late. I still struggle badly against zone particularly against LB’s over the middle or in the flats.

RPO’s have been a big help against zone though.

This game makes me rage online. You can make the perfect call on 3rd down, have all your defenders around the ball carrier, and he’ll still break 3 tackles and pick up the first or a TD.

It does it in all modes, the k-state backs love running through multiple tackles.

I will say as mad as I get at my line for just not blocking, about the other half of the time my lg and lt will pancake the frick out of people

Should I try to learn the different passing types? I'm using the classic passing currently. Is it worth my time? Probably will only play a couple of games a week.

While I liked the revamped passing, it seemed like it took too long to pass, resulting in more sacks and almost impossible screen pass execution. I switched to classic and it improved. Just my experience.

I’ve thought about moving off the new one and going to the location one.

It’s still a bit maddening how on defense when switching it doesn’t always go to the closest defender to the ball. Like if I’m on a dline and a line backer is chasing qb it mostly won’t switch to the backer, or if I’m playing linebacker in a zone and qb scrambles it’s a crap shoot if i will get to the closest defender to him. They should fix that issue.

Also sometimes it’s hard to get control of the wr when a ball is in the air

I’ve played a lot of games vs the cpu probably at like 60 or so now and i haven’t ran into any crazy glitches

same here. the worst I've seen are a handful of specific plays that simply don't work as intended (players either running into each other or the motion routes being a little off). I've ran them many times over now after discovering them, and they are broken. Luckily you can simply not call the plays to avoid the glitches.

For example, Flexbone Close has a play called "FB Dive". The QB doesn't even try to give the ball to the FB. Instead he immediately sprints up through the middle of the line. I've actually started using the play as a QB sneak

But yeah, otherwise no gameplay glitches or bugs have shown up for me. The other bug I've noticed regularly are stats related. When running Rocket Toss from any of the flexbone sets, the ball is tossed to a slot back but the game awards the carry and the yards (and TDs) to the quarterback.

I’ve learned to avoid the option route plays. The AI receivers typically frick up which option they should choose (in my experience) and I will throw a pick because the slot guy runs a curl instead of an out or whatever and the DB is sitting right there. Besides that I agree. The game play is really clean (just challenging at times)

The big change challenge is the cpu learns and adapts to your play calling

by how much? i racked up 200 rushing yds running the same speed option play with Tenn. just kept going to the left and then flipped it to the right.

I’ve had a pretty consistent glitch the last 2 days where if I hold to keep the ball on the option, the QB literally just stands there in the pre snap position until he gets sacked for the loss.

Pretty frickin annoying

It seems to be learning at different paces. By the end of season 1 with usce my jet sweep wasn’t an auto big play. Season 2 cpu adapted and really made it tough for me to throw deep.

Now with WVU I run for like 200-300 a game with pistol weak runs and zone runs out of shotgun. They have started to make more and more negative plays though with spreading guys out.

Their offense also seems to adapt to play calling, I like to user lurk the middle of the field and in the last few games they have started running hooks and when I come over to stop it they take off deep. It wasn’t doing that before.

It updates and learns much faster than prior games, now this might be less or more magnified based on talent and such.

Some plays are probably just harder to stop as well like an option with a fast qb is hard to stop and if you balance that by slamming things in the middle they won’t react as fast.

It’s probably why the madden streamers are being such babies is it’s really hard to spam the same play over and over and hit big every time.

For a few games I’d run nickel double mug and blitz the A gap and it was unstoppable, now they manage to block it fairly regularly and they run outside and hit me with big gains.

Some games the same play works but it’s probably talent difference.

Has anyone had issues with their players' numbers changing during the season? 5 games into year 1 and several of my players numbers were different: WR Daniels number changed to 14, Perkins to 12, Burns to 34 and several others.
