I'm on ACT III of normal and I've probably found 30-40 rares.

i've been playing by myself. i like it so far. i can see how having more players is more fun, but everybody seems to be busy with other players. there are times i could use some help but i get by i guess.

Playing a monk and getting my lagging arse handed to me in Act 3 NM at lv45. Those mobs that rape you through the ground with their barbed tentacles (I'm thinking of calling them hentais now that I put it that way...) are ridiculous.

About MF: I got up to about 80% and ran NM Butcher 10 times with 2 friends, no rares. They had about 10% MF between them total though, so that cut us down to <30% likely. Did more runs later with 1 friend, averaging about 65% MF. We would get 5-6 rares each on the way to Butcher, but he never dropped anything but blues.

After initial kills, bosses and script mobs will only drop blues according to blizzard. Best loot will come from champ packs, elites, and rares.


Also, just finished NM as a monk. 100% solo.
Stats at time of Kill

Level: 51
Dex: 1105
Vit: 598
HP: 16626

Armor: 1254
Atk: 2403.31

And it took 3 tries to knock him off.

I can verify this. I made 3 diablo nightmare runs and got nothing.

I feel your pain. 99.98% of my drops are WD or DH loot. I understand the loot is randomize, but it would be nice to use a drop every now and then.

What I was getting at, Finch, is that this game requires you to be online to play it. No internet...all you can do is read.

Use your corners and Ray of Frost/Disintegrate. Ice Block (sorry for the WoW term) on the explosions. His breath move won't hit you in the top corners. His hands and explosions can. That said. It worked on Nightmare for me first shot, and Nightmare Belial is the single largest cause of Hardcore deaths so far.

I use Diamond Skin against him because it absorbs all damage, I just ran around avoiding his hits, and when he spits hit 1 for Diamond Skin and you'll take no damage, and depending on level you can attach the Rune for Diamond Skin that inflicts the absorbed damage back to the attacker.

Worked for me first try.
