I still like getting discs so popped mine in this evening and looks like I'll be playing tomorrow after the update downloads all night.
Even with fiber 99 GB is going to take hours.
Is there anything even on the DVD ROM other than an update program?

If you have 1 gig fiber that should take ~15 min. ~30 at 500Mbps.
Or do the consoles still suck at DL speeds?

Yes, it should.
It appears the COD servers are currently very busy and slow. With a lot of people having to download 99GB to play I can see why.
My Rev fiber rocks and the PS5 is on a wire with a gigabit router. I typically download the 3.5GB COD updates in 10 minutes or less.
ETA: Glad I checked I had moved my PS5 a few months ago and it was still set on the wifi even though I had plugged in the ethernet cable. Now showing less than hour to finish. Doh!

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by this game. Not sure why they released the beta in the condition they did just a few weeks ago but game is solid.
Yes these maps should have been DLC on MW2022 but the tweaks made to the movement help the game

Did they really remove tuning?? Gotta say, I wasn’t planning on picking this up but Sounds like they made a lot of good changes.
Tuning was nuts as a casual. I get to play for MAYBE 2 hours a night and I’m spending half of it tuning the weapon and the other half grinding for a gun I don’t even want so I can unlock a gun I actually want.

But I am really enjoying the game. Looking forward to playing in the evenings, even.
I went back a read the beginning of this thread when MWII came out and apparently I sucked balls at first. lol. I'm happy to say that I am not totally useless in this game. Not good, but also not target practice.

SBMM is disappointing. I’m still enjoying the game but I do miss the days of non SBMM lobbies. I’m struggling to keep the K/D at 1.00. Finally got it up to 1.02 yesterday before i got off but likely know I’ll be facing a ruthless lobby when i log back on and will go back 1.0.
So I either have to sweat my balls off to maintain a positive(which is what everyone is trying to do in the lobby) or surrender my K/D to run and gun my way through unlocks before warzone.
That is the current state of MW3 imo.

I'm not enjoying MP as much for MW3.
I am enjoying the hell out of some zombies though. I load in solo, complete 4 or 5 contracts, try to find a weapon I haven't unlocked and exfil with it.

Would love to play with you guys sometime. I feel like I blinked and my whole squad disappeared and either no longer play COD or off Xbox. I’m not near as good as I used to be but am really liking this game

I bought it on PS5. Ok.
I also felt I should have bought it on PC so I did. It was stupid to buy twice, but I'm glad I did. It plays and looks better on PC, IMO.

I found the campaign disappointing. Way too short and it overdoes the number of stealth missions.
