Tired of them throwing movie franchise characters into Mortal Kombat that dont really belong, nor serve any purpose to enhance the story. I hate that it's now become a thing. Next game I guess we'll get Rick Grimes.

Those DLC characters could be new and original ones. That way mortal kombat wouldnt be on 11 and still using the same characters from the first 3 games.

Now I'm excited and have preordered and will be playing at 11pm Tomorrow. Just wish theyd take their DLC and improve.

That one is completely out of character for Jax and completely shits all over Jacqui's ending.

Jacqui's ending is the saddest ending in the entire franchise. (Jacqui rewrites history so her father is never killed by Sindel and never becomes a revenant to keep him from having to suffer through that. Unfortunately, by doing so, Jax never meets Vera and Jacqui is never born)

I was hoping they’d announce mortal kombat 9 backwards compatibility for Xbox to celebrate the launch, but I guess that’s wishful thinking.

Guess I’ll have to settle for woke Jax.

I hate that they’ve implemented all the injustice grind bullshite.

It really doesn’t detract from the core experience, but it’s such a transparent means of making microtransaction $$$.

It takes the game down a few pegs in my eyes, for sure.

Was an interesting ending.

I got the true story mode ending, dont know how much I like it or not.

Short summary of the Tower Endings: (ones that fit the story ending are in bold)

Baraka - Conquers all the realms and turns all non-Tarkatans into livestock

Cassie Cage - Rejects the power of the hourglass and is content to lead the MKX squad. The only change she makes is to keep Sonya from dying in the Netherrealm incursion

Cetrion - Grows frustrated with mortals always fighting each other, so she lets them go to war, then subjugates the survivors

D'Vorah - Basically the same as her MKX ending. Insects are the dominant species

Erron Black - Dumps the hourglass into the sea of blood and revels in the chaos

Frost - Shapes time in her image and uses the Cyber Lin Kuei to enforce compliance

Geras - Sacrifices his body to repair the timeline so he can finally die

Jade - Heeds the voice of her mother but keeps Kronika's power. When Shao Kahn invades Edenia, she kills him, then destroys both Shinnok and Cetrion, becoming the guardian of the realms

Jacqui Briggs - Fixes the timeline so her father is never killed by Sindel, but in doing so erases herself from existence

Jax - I'm not even going to dignify this one

Johnny Cage - Sees his future and realizes he has to hit rock bottom before he can mature, so he lets time take its course...with one exception. (Sonya doesn't die on her last mission)

Kabal - Hates the responsibility as Keeper of Time so he gives it back to Kronika, hooks up with Sareena and the Black Dragon dominates everything

Kano - Sonya and Cassie fighting each other in bikinis. Didn't really pay attention to the rest

Kitana - Reforms Edenia, but realizes that she was never a part of it and doesn't belong. Embraces her role as Kahn

Kollector - Becomes a Nagnata version of Shao Kahn

Kotal Kahn - Rejects Kronika's deal and takes it upon himself to guard the hourglass, refusing all requests to change anyone's timeline

Kung Lao - Changes the outcome so that the Great Kung Lao never loses. The realms are at peace and he destroys any outside forces that disrupt that peace. Top THAT, Liu Kang!

Liu Kang - Repairs time, shares the power and responsibility with the other new Elder Gods (Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Bo Rai Cho and Fujin)

Noob Saibot - Becomes Death, destroyer of Realms

Raiden - Struggles to find balance between Logic, Compassion and Love as he repairs the timeline

Scorpion - Unable to save his wife and son, no matter what timeline he tries, he realizes that Kronika is not the only titan. He turns his vengeance towards them

Shao Kahn - Basically what you'd expect from Shao Kahn.

Skarlet - Becomes a blood god

Sonya - She, Jax, Cassie and Johnny become the "God Squad", seeking out and destroying threats to the Universe.

Sub-Zero - Redeems his brother's soul and they become co-Grand Masters of the Lin Kuei
