Has anyone experienced issues with lag on the kicking meter while playing online? I missed 4 easy kicks in a game last night because the timing was off

Yes, this is really annoying. Kicking isn't hard until you press the button perfectly on the third press, yet it acts like you pressed it a second earlier. Makes kicking anything over 10 yards or so almost not worth it no matter the situation.

In just one game I missed two field goals inside 40, an XP, kicked two punts 25 yards, and 2 kickoffs to their 15. Is this something they've been able to fix in the past or is just internet connection lag?

Just time it so that you hit the button a tiny bit earlier than you normally would. Just takes some getting used to

I'm doing some ranked play now. Played as Bengals vs Raiders. This guy would either sit in quarter defense man under or send a nickel blitz where if I didn't keep my TE in to block, his sixth rusher would come through unblocked. I started moving AJ Green around and put him on quick man beater routs. Then started sending him on streaks because this guy though Sean Smith could cover Green in M2M. Green had 11 receptions for 460 yards and 5 TDs by the time he quit in the fourth.
If he wasn't trying to learn how to get auto pressure it would've been a fun game. Was close till I started exploiting his play calls in the second half.

They really mailed it in regarding playbooks. New Orleans, New England, Arizona have the same playbook for 3 years now. Longer for NO and NE

Need a little help. I'm losing every single jump ball on offense and defense. Is it different than last year or something?
They'll throw a deep ball up for grabs and I'll switch to that safety and position myself where I'm supposed to be and then press Y. My safety won't react or jump or anything. He just sits there. Meanwhile, the WR will go up for it come down and be untouched to the end zone.
When I'm on offense I'll switch to the WR and let the CPU do all the running and all I'll do is press Y. This time at least my player will react but I might come down with 1/20 even when I have a superior player.
Am I doing something wrong? I've tried letting the CPU do all the work and I still lose every (literally not exaggerating) on defense and most on offense.

they've significantly dropped the success rate of aggressive catches this year. It sounds like you are simply taking your defender out of position which is why you are getting beat on defense.

I've really enjoyed this Madden.. started playing some ranked play went 1-1 the first two games then after that I won 5 in a row and decided to call it a night.

I've noticed the success rate of double coverage throws is really low compared to last year. Last year I could throw into double coverage all day just because I had an awesome WR. Not the case anymore.
Also, it sounds like you're struggling to play the ball without triggering the "aggressive catch" animation. Last year of your CB was within three yards it would trigger it all the time even if you had him beat or vice versa, if the CB had positioning it would go into the animation and the WR would come down with it. Positioning actually matters now that you can play the ball again without going into some stupid animation. I'd suggest letting the CPU play it until you get a better grasp on things.

Playing ranked draft champions my last 3 games were if I stopped them on the first possession they quit. Even if I didn't score. Why waste your time like that?

People are ridiculous online. They'll get the ball to start the game and get sacked into a 4th and 20 in their territory, then go for it, not get it and quit. I must be playing a bunch of 10 year olds.

Just played my first h2h game. Dude quit. He was playing with the Pats and just running the same pass play to gronk all game

That's because most people just run cover 3 or sit back in M2M. My first four games of DC I ran Z Spot and something else I think it was stick because my opponents only played in cover three and a little of cover four. It was literally the only play all I did because

Just dusted the Packers with the Giants. My opponent was alright offensively. There's just no stopping ODB Jr. 11 catches for 197 yards, 2TDs with a minute and a half before he quit. Love this game
