Yea from what I’ve seen, the ray tracing fricks this game up pretty bad.

No doubt. It's definitely running smoother with everything turned off than it was even before this latest GPU update when I had it turned on.

One small annoyance…
What seems to trigger some side quests seems almost random. I’m level 28 and just finished the second trial but only have 1 of the unforgivable curses and they’re all locked behind Sebastian’s side quest that just seems to pop up randomly

My fwb says theres a game update out that's making the graphics worse. Is she just misreading and seeing stuff about the driver update?

Some of the lengthy questlines are gated behind professor assignments, I think Imperio only shows up after you get Transfiguration from Professor Weasley.

Game patch. Only had a couple of minutes to trot around Hogsmead before dinner, but my fps appeared to be higher than before, with fewer stutters.

Having the fast travel system be the floo powder network was really clever but I just wish they had added a floo powder animation when you use it

Agreed. I’m sure it’s one of the many things they wished they could have added but just didn’t have the time.

I imagine they’ll be expanding areas of exploration outside of Hogwarts, including the Ministry, Diagon Alley and probably some more wizarding villages, perhaps in another country near another wizarding school. Sky is the limit for what they could include.

I am currently getting wrecked in the Restricted Section. Had a little trouble with Crossed Wands 2. I am a very casual gamer.

Just beat ranrok and the game melted down. The headmaster was talking and another conversation with Imelda Reyes was talking over him. Then the screen went to black with music. Closed the game in the playstation launcher and now it won't load my saved game.

My game is officially fricked. Re loaded final boss fight and beat him again. Game made it again to final cut scene but the audio and captions from the broom race is playing at the same time. Could answer questions asking if I want race again also. Let it play out then some captions and audio about muggles came on the screen. Pressed triangle and I casted protego. Now nothing but black screen and I can cast spells but not see anything.

I'm not playing this game a ton yet...maybe 1-2 hours a night. I think I might have hit a critical point though, by completing the Jackdaw quest and finding the map room. It seems to have opened up a number of quests and I now have access to flying class, which I completed before heading to bed last night. I think I'm level 14-15 but it has felt mostly like a tutorial until now.
I don't watch Harry Potter movies but this is a decent game and I could see the appeal by fans of that universe. It's very well done.

This game really needs a new game plus mode. Or at least something that lets you skip ahead to the sorting ceremony in new games
