Almost nobody played Witcher 1 and 2.

I never understood people who thought CDPR was infallible based off of one game. Sure, they did an exceptional job with Witcher 3 and the DLC but I thought the hype train was insane for almost zero reason. Witcher 1 and 2 were good clunky games with janky combat.

While people were splugging all over the place from the game footage of Cyberpunk, I was meh.

Having said that, I fully enjoyed 100 hours in the game and once the patches finish the game up and at least make the AI better, I will go back and finish.

I still think Fallout 76 did more damage to Bethesda than Cyberpunk will end up harming CDPR. I have zero interest in their next game. I fully expect them to frick up Elder Scrolls even with Microsoft now in control.

If you have a PC, Cyberpunk was fun to play with a good story. Fallout 76 was totally broken, no real narrative and absolutely riddled with microtransaction.

Yeah. Fallout 76 was a much bigger black eye. I would say it was a tie for console users. Although at least one person on here claimed he was having a blast playing Cyberpunk on his PS4.

I'm with you. Never had huge expectations for Cyberpunk for some reason.

About 50% loved LOU2 but the other 50% sure felt total betrayal.

Hell, I know I will end up buying another Bethesda game but I have zero interest in ever giving Naughty Dog another dime.

I'm looking forward to buying a working version of the game in a Steam sale for $7 in a couple years. There's always hope. Look at No Mans Sky. It's a great game four years later.

I was super hyped after the teaser trailer but I just didn't get the same vibe from the footage I watched. And I saw some of the in game TV footage and it seemed like the host of the show was trying too hard to be like a borderlands character. So my hype was gone on release day. I liked the game so I'll buy their next game if they put real effort into fixing the problems. I think console folks are fricked. I don't see how they can fix the console problems.

All they have to do is put out a Tweet teasing a new Witcher game and the Brinks trucks will be lined up around their corner. That game gave them enough cache to recover from screw ups.

If the information the hackers release actually is damaging to CDPR, then I may have to buy stock in the company if it dips lower. Even if they can't recover from Cyberpunk and this hack, some larger company will buy them up.

I would think Bioware's fall from grace was greater that CDPR.

Cyberpunk was a mess at launch but it came right after one of the greatest games ever made. They can still bounce back.

Look at Bioware:

KOTOR
Jade Empire
Mass Effect 1,2,3
Dragon Age Origins

It's hard to beat a streak like that. Look at them now:

The Old Republic
DA Inquisition---this one was alright but meh
Andromeda
Anthem

They pretty much had to do the ME remaster to get back on everyone's good side.

Just looking at this from the outside as someone who hasn't played Witcher or Cyberpunk, this has been a bizarre situation all around.

CDPR shite the bed massively in their handling of Cyberpunk in a number of critical areas that have been hashed out on this board already.

The community set themselves up for failure by putting CDPR on a pedestal and setting expectations that CPDR could never meet. It's why I said before Cyberpunk released, even if it had little to no bugs, no major frick ups by CDPR, and it was a well handled launch, the game would still be a failure to the community that set those expectations.

In the end, CDPR fricked up and the community played themselves yet again.

We believed in CDPR because they made improvements between Witcher 1, 2 and 3. Learned from every previous title.

Witcher 2 is an awesome game, 1 is unplayable.

I get all the hate for 76 at launch but its not even remotely the same game now. I would imagine Bethesda is quite happy with 76's current income generation.

People need to revisit 76 before they continue to hate on it for its state at launch.

Been back playing it for almost 2 months (after Cyberpunk shite the bed and I needed something to play) and have been throughly impressed - it's so much better now and the next big update should further make it great.

Dumb question but what other game does CDPR have in their arsenal (obviously beside Witcher 3)? With 76s shitty launch there was still a lot of other shite in Bethesda's catalog... I feel like CDPR hung their hat on cyberpunk and there's nothing else out there right now to bring any positive balance to the studio. Fallout 76 is a part of Bethesda, it feels like Cyberpunk is all of CDPR.

Agree, FO76 post Wasteland update is a great game.

It is honestly the only game I play now.

Sucks how launches give some game a forever rap.

Besides Gwent...nothing really. CD Project also owns Good Old Games so that accounts for a large chunk of revenue for them.
