It's also not even true. I've been pretty clear I won't be buying a next gen console with no physical media option, but I've always stated that's because PC is by far the better option if there is no physical option due to the storefronts that compete with each other. That moron would have someone believe I said I'm quitting gaming. Never happened.

Now, if the Helix allows PC game stores, that might be a contender also, but so far XBox hasn't made any indication that they won't include a disc drive so there's no reason to make those comparisons yet. Apparently this is just unbelievable for some.

As it relates to this game, it's simply not worth $100 to me (and many other people) with no disc.

Seeing the racing clips, I hope this game has steering wheel support. I could use it V, but only with mods and in single player. You would get banned from online with it.

To me, the racing clips were the parts that looked the most "fake." Just didn't look as realistic as the rest. Especially the part with Lucia on the motorcycle.

I also read somewhere that there won't be a first person option at launch, which seems odd, but I've never wanted to play Rockstar games in first person anyway so wouldn't be a big deal to me.

So roughly $450 million in game sales and we’re over 12 weeks out from release lol.

This is going to be a crazy year for entertainment:

Spider-Man movie set the new domestic opening weekend record at the box office and will likely set the domestic box office total gross record too.

Doomsday is already track well ahead of Spider-Man’s ticket sales and will at minimum have a $350 million opening weekend in the US and has a chance of breaking spider man’s records AND avatar’s records.

Oh yeah the sequel to the highest revenue generating piece of entertainment in history is getting a sequel this year and will gross multiple billions of dollars before it’s launch.

The boys are eating good this year!

This sounds so tedious. It's like taking the worst mechanic from San Andreas and making it a central part of the main story.

Did you skip over this post??

Why are you being so dramatic about this??

Not trying to be. The whole dating mechanic in San Andreas was easily my least favorite feature. I didn't like that or the eating/working out stuff and was happy they didn't keep those things in GTA 5. Those additions are a large reason why I prefer Vice City and 5 over San Andreas.

Maybe it'll be done well in this game but it isn't being described in a way that sounds fun to me.

Just watched the reveal

The game will be a 7/10 on the top end, with potential to be as low as a 3 or 4 / 10.

A lot of people should prepare to be disappointed. Clunky and generic gameplay, forced story sequences with slow moving and loss of character control, etc. You're immediately losing quite a few people before they even hit 15-20 hours in the game. Is there some kind of quota that AAA companies are forced to meet about how much in your face story they have to drown you with?

Something about how the trailer was structured makes me very concerned for the game. It feels like Rockstar is hiding something. I suspect that they have scripted sequences in the game that are very good, but the open world aspect is going to feel very bland with many generic tasks that you repeat 100-200 times or so if you stick it out that long. That can be said about many open world games, but there are obviously inflated expectations here.

I do not like the characters' personalities at all, especially the guy.

Looked incredible tbh, I had high expectations but even that video exceeded them. The swamp boat clip was gorgeous as is the whole world and environment. Looks like they nailed everything that makes GTA GTA.

Lucia seems much better than Brian as a character, she's a badass.

Its odd to me because ive owned every console since regular NES and I never go back and play those games on the actual console.

If i wanna play an old game i emulate it on pc. I also never go back and play 99% of the games ive ever owned. Ill never go back to physical discs.

You have the right to your opinion, just know it was a retarded opinion.

Games looks real damn good. They combined GTA V with RDR 2 it appears for several features and mechanics, and that is a awesome thing as those were both excellent games.

Cyberleek had an old dev build and that little fricker should pay the price.

Not a boomer, just good with money.

Consoles aren't worth purchasing if there is no physical media. You can waste your money all you want. Makes no difference to me.

I don't understand this narrative. I don't think what Cyberleek was showing was low quality. The nudist colony was gross, but not because it was poorly rendered or anything. People were falling all over themselves about the strip club. Seems like he showed more gameplay than Rockstar did in their preview. He also called the "influencers" having a preview before that was announced. He clearly has some inside info that isn't old.

Whats the difference in my digital ps5 and one with a disc drive? It plays all of the games exactly the same....

Actually better because i can play multi-player on 2 consoles with 1 digital copy and only 1 console with a physical copy.

I set one ps5 to my home ps5, allow a family member to play the game on that one, then go log on my account and play it on the other one.

Resaleability.

My Duck Tales 2, complete in box, from regular Nintendo, is worth $1,000. Obviously that's an outlier, but my collection as a whole is worth over $10k right now. Do any of your digital games hold any value?

This is the only added benefit to digital currently. XBOX is fixing that with their disc-to-digital program.

They didn't show a lot of actual gameplay, so I guess anything is possible, but this seems like a stretch. I think 7 is probably the low end for this.

What are your most valuable games that came out after 2015?

Theres a reason old games and old baseball cards had value. Those market conditions don't exist anymore. If you want a baseball card to be worth anything post 2000 it has to be a card specially made to be valuable like a jersey card. I dont buy collectors editions of video games and im certainly not gonna buy a copy to sit in a box for 20 years.

I'll answer your question because I don't mind doing that, but you do have to realize that even a game worth $1 is worth more than a digital game you paid $100 for today.

To answer your question:

For some stupid reason, Skylander Imaginators for the Nintendo Switch is currently my most valuable game released after 2015. For the life of me, I can't figure out why. I'm guessing because the Switch didn't need the extra peripheral to use the toy functionality.

After that would be the Mario 3D All-Stars that came out a few years ago. Honestly, first party Nintendo games rarely lose value and are easy purchases from that perspective.

Like I said, the time period you picked is honestly too soon to evaluate right now. Currently, most consoles released after 2015 are more valuable than the games released after 2015, but that will start to slowly flip after the next console generation starts.

I disagree, i threw away 60+ xbox 360/ps3 games because the shelf space was more valuable to me than all of them put together. Being able to swap games without getting up to swap discs is also valuable to me which was the reason i didnt ever purchase a disc drive for either ps5

Duck tales 2 is expensive because it had a very low production run at the end of the consoles life cycle according to google. There's no such thing as scarcity/limited supply with current games. Everyone that wants a game can buy it online
