Small complaint: because of the shading of the map, I can't always tell where I've been and haven't been.

The key is to just clear out all enemy encampments on an island. That will fully reveal the map.

the coastal areas seem to keep the white fog around, pretty infuriating

The map just needs more contrast.

I dont know, I mean, when I finished the last enemy encampment, the entire 1st island went white and the fog on the map went away completely.

There must be an encampment or two that just haven't revealed themselves because there's nothing showing in the Izuhara region for me to do but there are still a couple of splotches of fog. I'm going to try to clear it tonight before continuing act 2.

i 100%d the first region, went back and did the farm outposts that spawn after you reach act 2, and i still have some splotches and fog all over the edges.

Clearing all the camps does reveal the whole map, but those edges remain. Even if you go explore those areas it doesn’t change. It’s definitely annoying that it looks like an unexplored area still.

I just stumbled across a Mongol outpost and was getting ready to clear it when three bears charged in and started wrecking shite. It was hilarious watching the enemies thrown ragdoll up over the wooden walls of the outpost. The bears died valiantly taking five Mongolians with them. One quick standoff with the leader later and the outpost was cleared.

Enjoy it while it lasts. You’ll get to much much much much larger outposts as the game goes on. During lunch I played an outpost with around 30 guards.

I did 100% of the first island, I gotta say though Act 2 and the second island scenery just got even better. The Golden Forest in Act 1 was bad arse, but the locations on the 2nd island are even more cool IMO. The duels are absolutely incredible, especially if you time it with a sunset or a storm.

A couple of big shout outs to Sucker Punch for 2 things

1. Loading times are phenomenal
2. The friendly AI actually runs at your pace on a mission

My complaints in the other hand, easy to patch

1. Let us skip dialogue
2. frick off with the hints, so what if I’m in the wrong stance and I know to hold triangle for a standoff dammit get rid of that prompt

Sekuro was good, but this is top notch samurai to me. It’s all I’ve ever wanted out of a samurai game, based on historical accuracy too which is a big plus for me. I’ve gone back and forth on whether they should’ve added some Japanese supernatural folklore in the side missions, but ultimately they probably made the right choice keeping it grounded.

Taking my time to 100% Act 2, almost there. But savoring the time left I have in the main missions. Will definitely try to platinum this game.

I lean towards yes. I've had a lot of fun with it.

This thread has definitely piqued my interest as well

I was a little hesitant after the initial reviews, but this thread is making me consider it a weekend buy

The loading times blow my mind. I'm still using my day 1 PS4, and have the game on an external hard drive. It still only takes, maybe, 5 seconds for the game to load. It's incredible.
