So much fun

Finished the game last night. It's only the second time I've completed a game 100%, but I loved every second of it (except maybe killing all the dogs ). I could easily watch a movie/tv show based Khotun Khan's cut scenes.

Khan is a great villain. Tossing alcohol on that samurai and torching him was so boss

The final one v one against youknowwho was epic with the scenery and score. I got Snake v Ocelot MGS4 vibes from it.

Going into spoilers....Which ending did everyone go with?

I killed him. I watched the other ending on YT and it didn’t seem as epic to me.

SPOILERS

Spared him. When Jin said “I have no honor” and put on the mask and rolled out, I was first pumping on my couch

[SPOILER]

Spared him. I watched the other ending as well and saw a funny comment in the comments section: "You either die as a samurai, or live long enough to see yourself become the ghost."

I put the game down as a couple other games had come up, but I'm eager to finish it this month. Act 2 has been very fun so far.

Picked it up Saturday before last and this game fits me to a T. I still haven't even rescued Yuna's brother as I'm just doing everything around the island.

Has anyone started looking into books on the Mongols or Kublai Khan's (Khotun in the game) invasion of Japan? Always love reading up on this stuff after I play it and was hoping there are others

I did a YouTube rabbit hole thing watched tons of videos on the history of the Mongols and their expansion through east Asia and Europe.

Gotta give Japan credit for holding them off. Few others did.

ETA: Saw news this morning GOT is getting an update this fall called Legends:

quote:

We designed Legends to be an exclusively cooperative gameplay experience. You’ll be able to partner up with friends or via online matchmaking and play Legends in groups of 2-4 players. Each player can choose from one of four different character classes: the Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin. Each class has unique advantages and abilities that we’ll reveal in the future. With two players in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, you’ll be able to play a series of co-op Story missions that escalate in difficulty, building on the foundation of combat from the single-player campaign but with new magical twists that often require careful synchronization with your partner.

quote:

With four players, you’ll be able to take on wave-based Survival missions, fighting groups of the toughest enemies Tsushima has to offer, Including new Oni enemies with supernatural abilities.

quote:

If you can best the Story and Survival missions, you may be confident enough to take on the four-player Raid that will arrive shortly after the launch of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, sending you and your partners to an entirely new realm to challenge a brutal, terrifying enemy.

I did the same thing when Red Dead Redemption 2 came out. Read 2-3 books on western history because I get so enveloped by it and just that lifestyle of those times

Anyone playing the the black and white?

Just got it and this seems cool, but also like it would get old fast.

I thought about it and I like the premise if I ever had the time for a second playthrough (still trying to complete everything in Act 1 first), but this game is just way too beautiful to not enjoy in color

The Black&White mode does add a few visual flourishes to make up for the lack of color. I spent some time in it and it was still beautiful.

I did end switching back though.

I'm finally getting closer to finishing everything in the first act

After gaining the four ghost items, is a health increase all you get for each level up? And I take it there's no need to observe leaders anymore after I get all four stances?

Does observing a leader give you more credit (or whatever) than killing them?

I almost always just kill them but I’m early enough into the game to make a change
