For those PC gamers: do you mostly use keyboard and mouse or a controller?

Looking at getting into PC gaming.

For games like CS:GO or other FPS's can you use a controller?

Also wanted to play DAY-Z and games like that as well.

You can use a controller.

You may get rekt by snipers who have played on kb/m for decades.

Do whatever is most comftorable and fun

Someone will have to comment in cs:go specifics

I play both. Depends on my mood and the game.

It depends on the game. For FPS, RTS, and most RPGs, I use mouse and keyboard. For sports games, racing games, action games, and action RPGs, I use a gamepad (PS3 controller).

I do know people who swear by playing PC FPS games with an xbox 360 controller. Can't say whether or not they play a lot of multiplayer though.

99.9% Keyboard and mouse. Fighting games, I use a controller.

Can't imagine using a controller in a PC FPS against other players.

just get used to the kb/mouse now. When I first started playing FPS on pc I didnt think I would like or be able to adjust to kb/mouse.

I got comfortable with it after about 3 days. and now I literally cant stand playing FPS unless I'm using kb/mouse

Actually I do use a controller when playing campaign on farcry games when I want to relax and mess around. If there is a really hard sequence, I may pull out the kb/mouse b/c its so superior

Just use the keyboard and mouse. It's way more effective.

I didn't know you could play CS:GO with a controller. Not recommended.

If it's not something I'm playing "competitively", I go with the controller. I just hate having to learn or adjust new key bindings, when the setup for controller is usually pretty intuitive for me.

AW, BF, and CS, it's kb/m all day.

like everyone else has said, prepare to be bent over if you are using a controller in a game like counter strike.

Mostly KB/M....however, I recently started playing Skyrim with a controller to try it out.

It's amazing.

It has reinvigorated me in that game. Sword and board just feels so natural that it should be a requirement to use a controller with it.

Buy a mouse with plenty of side buttons. For instance my g500 has 12 side buttons. will save you from having to move your left hand away from your WASD
My BF4 setup::
MMB-grenade
4-melee
7-spot/mark enemy
8-gadget 1
9-gadget 2
10=Secondary weapon
11-[rimary weapon
12=VOIP/push to talk.

you def dont want to have actions mapped to your number keys on a fps Left Ctrl for crouch/prone and R for reload are as far away as your fingers should have to move, which lets you still move while performing both.

Mouse and Keyboard for any type of FPS. Once you get good at using it, you could destroy yourself using a controller.

I do use a controller for games like Assassin's Creed or at least have one plugged in to use if I have to do any high speed driving like GTA.

Battlefield refused to recognize one of my side buttons on my mouse. I usually try to use it for either melee or grenades. Stupid annoying.

I've played CS from 1.6 through GO. I wouldn't bring a controller to a gunfight in any FPS if I were you. Absolutely no way to have the same aim quickness and accuracy with a controller than a m/k.
