I did the gamefly trial and tried to give it another go. I had left off around the beach town or whatever and my next objective required me travelling in that car.
I hit eject and mailed it back.
ETA As far as the localization for X, I know Wakka is a popular character, but I wanted to throat punch him the entire time.

Never played this one, Mom wouldn't get me a Playstion. Glad I finally get to check it out. A lot of people say it's the best one.

Bruh now I want to play X again. But I can't bring myself to buy it for the 4th time. 2 times on ps2 (scratched disc fml), remastered for ps3, now I'd have to buy it again for ps4.
Sigh. Complete bullshite that wouldn't hold over to ps4 if you bought it on ps3 since it was download only.

I am strongly confident you will enjoy the music in IX.
I would be shocked if you didn't love it.
Edit: X and VII are both excellent games, if you like those you will like IX.

I bought it on release. Forced myself to beat it. Just a mess of a game. Would not recommend to anybody.
I would put my FF rankings in tiers like this.
GOAT: IX
Must play, all time good: IV, VI, VII, X
Should play: VIII, XII
Hard pass: I, II, III, V, XIII, XV

VIII gets a ton of hate from the broken draw system, but I freaking love that game. The atmosphere and the music are great.

Vlll is my favorite. I like to grind early in every FF game I play and the draw system played very well into that.

I made the mistake of skipping all the cutscenes in XIV because I wan in such a rush to get into end game with my FC. I hear the story is great and I'm disappointed.

I did try both XI, XIV. For obvious reasons they are not in my list along with tactics.

It was garbage before the reboot and I was encouraged to skip it all anyways. Once ARR hit, my friend was all "story is really good, you should pay attention to the cut scenes", but I had already gotten into a bad habit. When I went back in after Heavensward, I was so far behind on the MSQ that I don't think I watched a single one.

Indeed. It can be a bit slow in parts, but the main story is kinda good in FF14. It's a very different plot than a traditional Final Fantasy, but it's similar enough to stand out from other MMOs. At this point, I'm playing the game for the MSQ.

IX is the greatest game of all time and nothing else comes close in my mind.
X is barely top 5 when it comes to Final Fantasy games with VI, VII, and IV ahead of it.

Truth is that XIV has the best soundtrack of them all. I love when they remix the older songs. Such as Matoyas Cave.

Battle of the Gardens was so fricking epic
Last boss had me down to just squall and I was on the last phase. Got his ultimate and got the best one, killed her arse. I was jumping for joy like a mfr
