Final Fantasy IX to PS4 today

I imagine the speed up mode will take care of the one flaw with the game. It's slow loading screen for encounters.

Cheats for lazy people. I had to grind out those levels back in the day. That was part of the fun of the game.

Say what you want. The FF12 speed up was amazing to grind with. I have no issue with these perks as it will be like my 5th plus run of IX.

This is one that I haven't played yet. The art style just doesn't look like it is for me. I will still pick it up though.
Having played all my FFs in the last 10 years (no nostalgia goggles),
X > VIII > VII
I know VII is goat and all, but it didn't age nearly as well as VIII imo

As the OP says IX is the GOAT.
Best characters, music, gameplay, story. Especially the music.
It is the highest reviewed FF.
The more fantasy style and being a PS1 game when the PS2 was out, is why it was not as popular.

Glad this finally got a release. I have been wanting this and VIII.
The glory days when square knew how to make a quality game.
Never really got an opportunity to play ix, so I'm stoked to get a chance to experience it.

I can look past it because Japanese are weird and most localization teams are complete shite.
As an aside, I literally played the first quest of XV and never touched it again
and I bought it at release. Joke's on me. Guess I'll play it once I play everything else worth playing
