It's just easier for me to learn a game on a controller because most schemes these days run the same. And it's nice to sit back in my chair and play.

The ending sucked and none of the choices you made along the way actually mattered, they all funneled to essentially the same end result. Far from perfect.

Still an overall good game, but its shortcomings were/are incredibly frustrating

I don’t know many people that think ME3 itself was a bad title (Scruffy inbound),

This.

ME3 even retconned previous games so that they could input certain elements into 3.

ME1 and 2: “The rachni are an extinct species of which only one queen remains!”

ME3: “We found another rachni queen behind an expired box of macaroni at the local 7/11.”

That was actually infuriating to me. I legit did multiple playthroughs of the first two centered around that decision (and a few others) so I could see how it played out over the course of the trilogy. Ridiculous

Meh, you're getting into fairly small sample size territory there

ME3 is a fantastic game. That is an actual fact. The emotion is there. The improvements to gameplay is there. The story is there. You just didn't like the choices.

The one dumb thing they did was bringing back the Queen you killed. I let her go so the fact she ended up controlled by the Reapers made perfect sense in my world. If I had killed her, it would have been bad for them to bring her back. I think I did kill her on the second play just to see the story and how she was brought back.

Whine all you want about the developers promising choices but I was more than happy with all of mine.

Hell, choices did matter. I had to play 3 a second time because I got everyone killed in 2.

So I had to replay 2 and save everyone so I could then see them in 3.

Disclaimer... I didn't play any of them until 2016 or 2017 so I wasn't on the hype train. Loved the series so much I played 1-3 and then right back over again 1-3.

Oh... Moridin alone makes 3 a fantastic game.

Had to be him; someone else might have gotten it wrong.

I loved all of them. I didn't play me3 until well after release and they had done their fixes so that helped. The game was great, and I expected the ending to be terrible so I didn't have high hopes for that (I tried to minimize spoilers beforehand but everything I did know made it out to be terrible). I thought the end was... OK. Underwhelming for what lead into it for certain, but not as bad as I assumed it was going to be. So maybe it was good I had low expectations going in.

I think I'm going through something similar with Andromeda. I just started it about a week ago. Thus far I'm pretty into it. Not as good as original trilogy and there's some holes but I'm having fun and in the end thats all that really matters.

Having just played it recently, and so avoided the launch issues: it’s a good game that’s worth playing. It’s not great. It still has a host of issues. But it was good, and I’m genuinely sad we will likely never get a sequel.

Oh, and the romance scenes have actual nudity.

I play some games with a controller, but I would rather pull out my own teeth than play a shooter with a controller. Aiming is just so horrific.

If it's not a competitive shooter, I couldn't care less. It works fine enough.

I assume with some kind of automatic aim assist?

I don't know. At least not anything I turned on myself. I'm in chapter 6 of my first playthrough of Red Dead 2 on PC, with an xbone controller, and the shooting feels fine even without dead eye.

I don't think I'll get the remastered trilogy, but would definitely love to get a new entry to the series.

Lots of games automatically turn on aim assist if it detects you’re playing with a controller. Not sure if RDR2 is one of them.

You’ve got that coming as well, but probably not for another good year+.

Yeah, I know they are working on it. I really didn't mind Andromeda as much as most people, even though it was the buggiest game I've ever played.
