The Death Knight boss fight was sick as hell but that dungeon can suck a fat one.

Took out Lion and Rellana. The enemy damage is way overtuned for this DLC
Lion was a cool fight in concept but not in practice. Camera would do all kinds of fricked up shite and ruin otherwise good attempts at the final push
Rellana was excellently designed but she has a little too much health.
I'm sticking with my solo melee no shield no summon/ash and the bosses have been a real struggle so far. Everything 2 shots me (35 VIG). They definitely balanced this for summons/spirit ashes

Someone convince me to try Elden Ring. I’m getting analysis paralysis.
I don’t mind a hard game. But I also don’t want to spend a shite ton of time only to get wrecked and do the same 30 minutes of work over and over. Is that how it goes?

There are mechanics that allow you to basically remove as much difficulty as you want. Can summon NPCs, other players, use magic, etc

Yeah I’m considering a mage build. I don’t care if it’s a cheese. I just don’t want to waste money on a game.

I’ll be digging into this dlc tomorrow but from the sounds of things, it reminds me of my experiences trying to play the DkS2 and 3 DLcs. Both made me cry and quit like a bitch and I never revisited LOL

I gave up trying to beat the Beast and Rellana solo. They are just unfun to fight. They have way too much health and deal way too much damage

DkS2 DLC is whatever, but it you like Dark Souls, you should get through the DLC of DkS3. Similar to AotA, it feels more like an indispensable part of the lore than it does DLC.
I’m pretty sure I’ve offered this before, but I’m happy to give you tips and advice if you ever want to tackle it again

Dancing Lion is horseshite. It’s impossible to dodge his attacks and camera angles blow. Really trying to take down solo with no ash

I could see how that fight would be tough soloing it. Putrescent Knight is kicking my tail right now and that's with my Mimic helping.

After beating dancing lion I’ve decided to go back and more explore the Belarut area. Got 120k runes from beating the boss and after some exploration got up to 218k or so. I died and of course did something stupid and died again before recovering them. Welcome back to the bullshite, VStrokes

It’s hard as a motherfricker and I love it. Right now, I’m getting my arse kicked by Bayle the Dread. First time I entered his arena, I had just enough time to summon the dragon hunter guy and Bayle charged me, picked me up in his mouth and shook me like a dog. Dead. That a-hole was still giving a speech instead of helping out
