Honest question: judging from the reaction that I’m seeing everywhere about this, there is absolutely no way this game will live up to the lofty expectations. Just the way it is. And from I can tell, the Madden franchise is pretty poop right now. Objectively, what are you really expecting from an EA sports game that isn’t FIFA?

I mean, honestly, I'm not one of those who loves to constantly crap on EA, but they absolutely know what the demand is for this game and know it will sell no matter what they put out, so I'm not counting on a strong effort from them.

I think there is more flexibility for college football then with the madden franchise. now whether or not they continue with that remains to be seen.

I can't believe it, between getting the the Xbox series x this weekend and then announcing MLB the show coming to Xbox and the return of Ncaa football, I feel like I'm 12. I'm so pumped.

I think we're gonna have to give them a year to make changes but I'm sure the mechanics will be based on madden. I just want it to be more wide open in terms of playcalling(I fully expect to be in shootouts with my friends). Also hope the presentation brings out the tradition in college football.
On another note please bring back NCAA Basketball and maybe Baseball too. Idc if they're carbon copies of NBA live just give it to me.

Wonder what will be done with “Ultimate Team” on an CFB scale. Former players and coaches only who aren’t restricted under NCAA rules?

in terms of gameplay sure. but the presentation, playbooks/styles of offense were definitely different. Of course we havent had college football since the huge dive by EA into ultimate team but my hope is that with it being a college game they will have more hurdles when it comes to ultimate team that it will keep them from making that the focus of the game like it is with madden.
I just want to be able to play a modern college football game with the customizable options for dynasty to change the conferences, bowl tie ins, being able to customize the playoff ect... as well as being able to create my own team.

That’s what I can remember from Ultimate Team for College Football. If they follow that then Bama, LSU, OSU, USC and nearly all Florida schools will be stacked with former players.

I could be mistaken, but I always thought the animations looked different back in the day.
But regardless, I don't enjoy Madden in it's current state, I did back then.

Great that it’s coming back, but with Madden’s incredibly poor reception these days, I’ll let you guys tell me if it’s decent after it’s released.

As long as they capture the atmosphere of college football, and be accurate with the stadiums, traditions, teams, etc. if I’m taking LSU to play at Michigan, I want it to feel and sound like I’m playing there. With the Dual Sense controller on the PS5, if they take advantage of it, they can really go all out to make the atmosphere top notch.
Also put most of the effort in dynasty, recruiting, etc. I don’t care if the rosters are computer generated. Player likeness doesn’t mean anything in dynasty anyways.
